His eyes opened, he scanned the room curiously. His eyes landed on me last.
“Fubuki?” he murmured.
“I’m here, Sasuke.” I said, holding his hand. He squeezed it, pulling it up to his lips and placing a kiss on it. He smiled. Maybe it was the drugs that was making him like this.
“I finally killed him. That bastard.” he murmured, I scooted closer so I was sitting where I could see his eyes. They weren’t glazed, they were clear. The drugs weren’t the cause of his affection.
He sat up, wincing from the pain in his chest. He pulled my hand, tugging me onto the bed. He made it so I was right next to him, my head on his chest. I put my arm around his waist. I looked up at him.
“Itachi is dead. I don’t need Team Taka anymore.” he sighed.
“Good, because I killed Karin.” I replied, I knew he wouldn’t take that bad.
He smirked. “I knew you would end up doing that.” he sighed. “Oh well, she was a bitch. No one’s loss.”
I chuckled, he looked into my eyes.
“You have pretty eyes.” he commented, I smiled.
Then, a thought hit me. “Woah woah woah.” I got out of the bed. “Why should I forgive you?”
Sasuke blinked. “Because I’m an idiot.” he answered. I looked at him for a couple of seconds.
“Good enough.” I said, crawling up next to him again. “You’ll make it up to me later.”
He nuzzled his head on mine, resting his chin on my head. “Fubuki?”
“Hmmm?” I asked, taking in his scent. He smelled so good. My hand gently rested on his chest.
“Since Itachi is dead...” He hesitated. Remember what my two goals were?”
I thought for a moment. “Uhm, killing Itachi for sure. Then....Hm....Restoring your cla-Oh.” my cheeks burned. He blushed and looked away.
“About that....” he murmured.
“Are you sure I’m the one you want to....Restore you clan...With?” I asked, looking up at him.
“Of course, baby. I love you.” he purred.
I blinked. “Yeah, you’re definitely stoned.”
His eye twitched. “I am not stoned. I am just....Happy.”
I gasped dramatically. “The H word?! Oh god, I have never heard that word and “I” in the same sentence from you, Sasuke!” I joked.
“Hah hah hah, shut up.” he muttered, but then grinned.
“That’s the first joke I’ve said in years.” I admitted. He paused.
“This is the most I’ve talked in years.”
“Well, that’s understandable. You grew up with a bitter attitude, I was pretty much like anyone else, despite the fact my clan died out. It was life that put me down. You, you could have a good life but you didn’t chose to. You didn’t get a girlfriend, you didn’t make any friends, all you did was train. I did try to be friendly.” I explained.
“Point made. But anyways, about the...Children thing...” Sasuke said, hesitating. “I do love you.”
I smiled. I didn’t know if I was ready to have kids just yet, we were only nineteen. But I knew in a year or two of a healthy relationship, kids would be good. “Okay, in a year or two.”
“I can deal with that.” his hand rubbed my back, my eyes fluttered closed. “How about marriage?”
“I believe you’re the one in charge of popping the question.” I smiled beatifically at him, then yawned. I put my cheek on his bare chest, where the shirt exposed his skin. He put his chin on my head.
Sakura walked in, a grin spreading across her face when she saw us. “Aww, the cute couple together again.”
I stuck my tongue out. I reached for a pillow, clocking her with it. She let out a yelp, but laughed anyways. She set the pillow back where it was.
“How is everyone?” I asked.
Sakura let out a sigh. “Mikey’s an idiot.”
“You think? What did he do this time?”
“He put a fork in the toaster.” Sakura sighed, sitting down next to Sasuke’s machines. She scanned them.
“Well at least you weren’t there when he put our silverware in the microwave.” I muttered.
She raised an eyebrow. “Seriously?”
“If I’m lying, I’m dying.”
“Wow.” Sasuke sighed, shaking his head. “It’s not surprising that you and him are related....”
I sat up in bed. I frowned. “Hey hey hey, it’s only Mikey who’s like that.” I stuck my tongue out at him.
“Oh, this isn’t connected.” Sakura said, plugging in the heart monitor. “There we go.”
I looked at Sasuke, running my hand through his hair and lying back down with him. His heart monitor started beeping faster.
Sakura looked at it, then at Sasuke and I. “Awww.” she giggled.
I looked up at Sasuke, he was horrified and blushing. I snickered. I decided to tease him.
“Do I make your heart go wild?” I mocked.
“S-shut up. Don’t be a loser.” Sasuke said, his face got even more red.
“I thought you were able to hide your blush.”
“Naw, it’s just that most girls don’t make him do that. I’ve seen him blush before.” Sakura said, she used to be Sasuke’s fan girl, so I took her word for it. “I need to go, I get to get off early and I want to make sure Mikey hasn’t destroyed the place.”
“Bye.” me and Sasuke said in unison, Sakura left the room.
I looked at Sasuke. “Don’t worry, you make my heart go wild.” I assured him, his eyes caught mine. I put his hand to my chest, his touch made my heart pound. He could feel it.
He smiled. “Good.”
