The next morning the whole company woke up early before the sun rise. They begin to prepare for their journey to Mirkwood. Taryn packs everyone's packs with the supplies Beorn gave them. She also repacked her own packs, with new food and hooked them together. As she is working on their packs Beorn walks over to her.

"Taryn, I remembered that you liked bread and honey. So I packed you extra," Beorn said to Taryn with a small smile.

"Thank you Beorn," Taryn said as she could see Thorin watching them closely.

"Don't eat it all at once, unless you want to starve." Beorn said.

"Don't worry Beorn. We will be alright," Taryn assured him.

"So is it true? Are you with child?" Beorn asked her curiously.

Taryn stopped working on the packs as she looked up at him. "Yes, it is true. I am carrying my husband's child." Taryn said with a happy smile, as she rested one hand on her baby bump.

Beorn narrowed his eyes as he heard this. As if he was hoping it wasn't true. "With a Dwarf," he said in a disgusted manner.

Taryn simply rolled her eyes. She didn't know why it mattered to him so much. Beorn was only someone who helped her after she was exiled. When she had ran out of food, on her way out of Mirkwood. "I love him Beorn, that is why I married him. And I am happy to be having his child, I don't care that he is a Dwarf," she said proudly and happily. "In fact I love that he is a Dwarf. I know you don't like Dwarves, but I do. I love them, they are all my family."

Beorn simply looked down at her. "Well I am happy for you then Taryn."

"Thank you," she replied with a smile.

As the sun rose over the mountains the company were outside loading up their borrowed ponies. The ponies were absolutely beautiful. They were coated with white fur, with a few black patches of fur on their bodies. Gandalf of course did not borrow a pony. He had a beautiful pure black horse.

Taryn pulled on her blue cloak over her slender form. She then sheathed her twin swords, daggers, and put her bow and quiver on. Lastly she grabbed her packs which were hooked together and started for the front door. She was close to exiting the house, when Beorn pulled her back.

"What is it?" She asked Beorn curiously.

"Why are you traveling back to Mirkwood?" Beorn asked her. "Is it for him? The Dwarf..."

Taryn let out a long sigh. "Gandalf asked me to guide them through the forest," she responded. "But I love them, they are my family. I will of course I help them, I want to help them."

"But you know what your father may do," Beorn said.

"Yes I know and that frightens me. Thorin won't let him harm me or our child. Although I do want to see my siblings again," Taryn said with a sigh. "I'm also going back for my husband. He deserves to get his homeland back and he will need the help. None of them knows Mirkwood like I do."

Beorn nodded his head after she finished speaking. "It is time for you to leave with your company."

Taryn walked outside of the house with Beorn. He stood near the door as Taryn walked towards Thorin. She got halfway and suddenly stopped. She looked over her shoulder and smiled. "Goodbye Beorn. Thank you for helping us."

Beorn smiled softly, looking down at the small Elf. "Goodbye Taryn. You're welcome."

Taryn smiled as she turned back towards Thorin. She ran out to where the company and the ponies were. There were not enough ponies for all fifteen of them.
