Taryn woke to the sounds of light knocking on her bedroom door. She groaned as she rolled over from her side onto her back. She was not in the mood to have any visitors. Unless it was a 5'2" Dwarven man with long raven black hair and eyes as blue as sapphires.

"What?" Taryn groaned out as she opened her eyes and stared up at the ceiling.

"Are you okay? I heard about your fight with Thranduil," Tauriel said as she let herself into the room.

Taryn sighed as she rolled over and stared at her best friend. The friend that helped her escape from Mirkwood many times in the past. "No I'm not okay Tauriel."

Tauriel let out a sigh as she sat down on the bed, next to Taryn. "I've missed you mellon," Tauriel said with a slight smile.
(Friend in Sindarin).

"I've missed you also," Taryn replied as she looked up at her friend. "What kind of father says such things about his daughter?" Taryn questioned as she felt tears form in her eyes again.

Tauriel inhaled deeply as she ran her hand through her friend's white blonde hair. "I'm so sorry Taryn. He shouldn't have said such things. But you have to know he didn't mean it"

"Then he shouldn't have said Tauriel," Taryn cried out as Tauriel pulled her into a hug.

"Shhh it will be okay," Tauriel said as she slowly stroked her friend's hair. Trying her best to comfort her. "You have to know he has regretted his decision of banishing you every day. He has ordered that the room stay stocked and cleaned, hoping that you would come back."

Taryn was shocked by this piece of information. If he hoped she would come back, then why did he banish her and say such awful things to her. She slowly shook her head to the side, as the tears fell down her cheeks. She liked seeing her friend again and liked that she was trying to comfort her. But right now all she wanted was to see her husband.

"Can you do me a favor?" She asked Tauriel as she looked up at her with her tear filled eyes.

"What do you need?" Tauriel asked curiously.

"Can you please take me to see the Dwarves?" She begged her friend.

"So it is true, you came with those Dwarves?" Tauriel frowned at Taryn.

"Yes I did, they are my friends. Actually they are more then my friends they are my family," Taryn replied with a sad smile. "There is Dwalin and his brother Balin. Their cousins Óin and Glóin. The three brothers: Dori, Nori, and Ori. Two brothers Bombur and Bofur, and their cousin Bifur. Then the youngest ones Fíli and Kíli, they are brothers. And then their uncle and my husband King Under the Mountain; Thorin Oakenshield," Taryn explained with a long sigh as she said Thorin's name.

Tauriel's eyes widened as she heard the word husband. "So the rumors they are true also?" Tauriel asked her friend.

Taryn nodded her head. "Yes I married him and I am with child," Taryn explained.

Tauriel smiled as she heard that her best friend was expecting. "Oh that is exciting, especially since your sister Vanya is expecting also," Tauriel replied. "She married an Elf from Lothlórien a few years after you left."

Taryn gave a sad smile to her friend. She was happy for Vanya, really she was. But right now she was only thinking about her husband and the others. "So can you take me to see him please? Since you are the captain of the guard."

Tauriel sighed, but nodded her head. "Yes I will take you to see them. But you won't have much time with him. If your father gets word of this, we both will be in trouble," Tauriel replied as she stood up off he bed.
