Taryn ran up the hill and quickly across the frozen lake. Her left hand clutched her pregnant belly as she ran. Her Elven armor was stained with Orc blood, from defending herself in Dale. She had multiple cuts, and her white blonde hair was sticky. She just had to find him. She knew he was up here somewhere, but where? She ignored the screams of her Ada as she ran. He was begging her to come back, but she couldn't. She knew she was the only one who could save her husband.

"Thorin!" She called out. "Where are you?"

Her pale blue eyes scanned her surroundings, but she saw no sign of him. There were bodies of dead Orcs everywhere she looked. The smell of death filled the air, it burned her nostrils.

She gasped and ducked as an Orc came charging at her. Her pale blue eyes widened in shock as the Orc lost its head before it could attack her. She spun around on her heels to see Dwalin standing where the now dead Orc lay.

"What are you doing up here?" The bald Dwarf asked her. "It is too dangerous for your condition!"

"I don't care!" Taryn cried out, tears streaking down her cheeks. "I have to find him. I know something bad will happen," she explained. "Call it Elf Foresight, but I know I'm right."

Her breathing was heavy, as she scanned the ice. "Thorin!" She yelled out again. This time as loud as she could.

Her jaw dropped, as she gasped out. Thorin was fighting the Pale Orc all alone in the middle of the frozen lake. 'No!' She thought to herself.

Azog gave a sly smirk as he noticed Thorin's mate standing close by. "It seems your mate is here to watch you die Oakenshield!" He yelled out in Westron for Thorin would understand him.

Thorin spun around on his heels, gasping as he saw Taryn. "Taryn... No!" He yelled out. She was suppose to be safe in Dale with her father.

Taryn growled out at Azog.

"I wasn't about to just let you come up here on a suicide mission!" She yelled out to Thorin.

It was as if with her arrival Azog no longer cared about Thorin, for the moment. He now had his sight on killing Thorin's wife and his unborn child. He wanted to make sure The Line of Durin was truly wiped out.

"She and your child die first for you can watch Oakenshield," Azog growled as he pointed his nasty finger in Taryn's direction. "Here ends your filthy bloodline!"

"No!" Thorin hissed lowly as he stepped protectively in front of Taryn. "You won't touch her!"

Thorin held the Orcrist out in front of him. Azog glared as he walked forward, rising his arm-blade. Thorin charged at Azog head on, managing to get behind him and slash him. Azog angrily swings his arm-blade at him, and Thorin dodges it. They both pause for a second, then Azog swings again. Thorin managed to jump back, but he stumbles. As Thorin stumbles over an edge of the ice, Azog manages to knock his legs out from under him with his rock on a chain.

With Thorin knocked to the ground Azog easily steps over him and makes his way over to Taryn.

"No!" Thorin growled out as he clutched his side. He tries to get up, but is knocked by down by Azog.

Azog gave a sly smirk, grabbing onto Taryn by her hair and dragged her behind him. Taryn groaned in pain from getting her hair pulled, trying her best to get free.

"No!" Thorin cried out from where he lay on the ground.

Azog snarled, as he lifted Taryn up by her neck. "Say goodbye to your beloved!" Azog growled out. He then stabs her through her stomach with his arm-blade. He makes sure he stabs her in the right place, going deep enough to kill both her and her unborn child.
