After leaving the dungeons Taryn made her way back to her room with Tauriel. "So it looks like someone likes Kíli," Taryn said with a smirk as she sat down on her bed.
Tauriel shook her head slowly. "Is that what his name is? And I don't know what you are talking about," Tauriel replied with a huff. "I just found his runestone interesting."
"Right sure keep on telling yourself that," Taryn laughed as she walked over to her wardrobe. "I tried to deny my feelings for a Dwarf also and we know how that turned out," she said with a slight smile as she gestured down to her pregnant belly.
"So you're not the only one who had a talk with Thranduil today," Tauriel said changing the subject as Taryn grabbed some clothes out of the wardrobe.
"Oh really," Taryn replied to her friend as groaned in disgust. She was sick of her father. "What did he say to you?"
"He told me the your brother has grown quite fond of me," Tauriel explained to Taryn. "But he would never let your brother pledge himself to a lowly Silvan Elf."
Taryn rolled her eyes at what her father had said. He really was a piece of work. "Of course he wouldn't," Taryn muttered in annoyance. "If you like my brother Tauriel don't let that stop you."
"He also told me to keep a eye on you," Tauriel said with a small chuckle. She never could tell Taryn not to do something, really no one could.
Taryn was the wild child, of the family. She had a free spirit and was much a rebel, a lot like her mother. Thranduil never could make her obey him, even when she was young. That is why he began taking her on all of his trips. To keep an watchful eye on his daughter. But it had backfired when he took her to Erebor with him. Now he regretted that decision.
Taryn laughed as she rolled her eyes. "If only he knew you were the only who helped me escape so many times," Taryn snickered to herself. "Even the times I got caught. He wouldn't be asking you to watch me then. He would be asking Feredir or Laeron to watch me."
They were her two personal guards from childhood, up until she was banished from Mirkwood. They were also the two who pulled her out of Erebor when Smaug attacked. She really disliked both of them.
Tauriel smirked. "Well he didn't say I always had to watch you. And if I happen to look the other way, then oops." Tauriel said which made Taryn laugh. They loved each other like they were sisters. In fact she was always much closer to Tauriel then she was her own identical twin sister.
After grabbing a change of clothes, she walked into her bathroom and took off her dress and the white thin trousers. She then put on a pair of grey trousers over her her under garments, a white undershirt over her chest garment, and her blue long travel dress that had a split up to her thigh. Which would make it easier to run or fight.
"Your planning on leaving again, aren't you?" Tauriel asked with a sigh as Taryn walked out of the bathroom.
"I'm sorry Tauriel, but I have to. I promised to help the Dwarves even before I married Thorin," Taryn explained as she picked up her brush and began to brush through her hair.
Tauriel sighed, but she nodded her head. "I understand that, I really do. But please don't let this be the last time I see you mellonen," she said with a begging plead in her eyes. "So are you going to the feast?"
(My friend in Sindarin).
"Don't worry Tauriel, this won't be the last time we see each other," Taryn said and then frowned. "Right I forgot about, Mereth-en-Gilith. I've lived in Rivendell for so long and they have different kind of celebrations," Taryn said as she sat on her bed.
