If you play with fire.. you get burned

Chapter 103

Robert had prepared everything he needed to continue preparing the baby's room together with the twins. The paint for the walls was ready, the brushes too and after putting all these things in the room, Robert went to prepare breakfast for the twins and Andy. The children had already woken up and were in the garden playing with Lilli and Bunny while Andy was on the swing in the garden so he could check on the twins. After all four of them had finished breakfast, Robert took the children to their room so he could put on clothes that they could get dirty with paint without any problem.

Mila: "Dad, did you remember to buy the glitter?"

Robert: "Yes, don't worry" the little girl nodded. "Are you two ready to start helping me?"

Marcus: "We're ready to get all painted pink" he replied, laughing.

Robert: "The paint has to end up on the walls, too"

Marcus: "We know" Robert laughed a little.

Mila: "And why is the room already pink?"

Robert: "You have to do at least two coats of paint for it to be perfect, and since there has to be time between coats of paint, I thought I'd do the first one yesterday"

Mila: "Okay" she replied thoughtfully. "But can we put the glitter on today, right?"

Robert: "Yes. After you've painted a little bit of paint on the walls, you and your brother can put the glitter on so it will stick while the paint dries" the little girl nodded.

Marcus: "Come on, let's not waste any more time, let's go" he said taking his sister and father by the hand to drag them to the room of his little sister who was arriving.

While they were getting ready to get to that little room, Andy had changed and was already in the little girl's room assembling the new rocking chair. Obviously as soon as Robert saw his wife assembling that chair he stopped her and helped her so that she wouldn't get too tired. While Robert was finishing assembling the rocking chair, Mila and Marcus had taken their brushes and started putting the color on the lower part of the walls since Robert would take care of the rest.

Marcus: "Dad, is it okay how are we doing?" he said and then turned around suddenly along with the paintbrush full of paint and in that way he splashed the paint everywhere.

Robert: "You guys are really good, but be careful when you turn around, the paint splashed all the way to mommy"

Marcus: "Ooopsss" he said and then started laughing followed by his sister.

Mila: "But it's not fair, mommy is dirty with paint and we are not" he said pouting and Robert burst out laughing. "Dad don't laugh, you are still clean too and it's not okay"

Andy: "Maybe you should go closer to your dad and then splash some paint on him"

Mila: "Can we really do this without being grumbled?" Andy nodded.

Mila – Marcus: "Yesss" they replied happily while Robert shook his head.

Mila and Marcus soaked their paintbrushes in the paint bucket and then started splashing their father who was trying to escape so that they could have more fun. Andy was making a video in the meantime so that he could send it to his mother, Eleonor and Daniel because he had promised to send them some photos and videos. At one point Robert, while he continued to pretend to escape from their children, tripped and fell to the ground and at that moment the children jumped on him and started to draw pictures with pink paint on their father's face. Andy was having a lot of fun watching them and the little girl started to kick her pretty hard and then she started to rub her belly.

Robert: "I think you guys need to go pet your mommy's belly, your little sister has started kicking her" he said quietly to his kids.

Marcus: "Can we color mommy's belly pink?"
