Chapter 98

Before the Doctor checked the baby's gender, she checked all the other parameters and found that the baby was growing very well and all the parameters were normal. Mila and Marcus were really very impatient and so the Doctor tried to find out the baby's gender and then revealed it to the family. The Doctor wanted to tell the baby's gender, but unfortunately blueberry was not in the right position to find out if it was a boy or a girl.

Marcus: "Hey, blueberry, move, we have to find out something" he said speaking to his mother's belly and then turned to the Doctor. "Has blueberry moved now?"

Doctor: "No, I'm sorry" Marcus snorted while Andy and Robert held back a little laugh because Marcus was very sweet and funny.

Marcus: "He didn't move because it can't hear me" he replied sadly.

Doctor: "Oh, no, no, the baby can hear you. It's just that at this stage when the baby hides, well.. it takes a while before moving" Marcus snorted again. "But there are other times when the baby is always moving"

Marcus: "This is not the time though"

Mila: "So blueberry is sleeping?"

Doctor: "Let's say yes"

Mila: "Ohh, ok" she replied resignedly. "But next time, will blueberry be in a different position?" she asked curiously.

Doctor: "It's likely"

Mila: "Okay" she said, then turned to her parents. "But we're still going to the toy store, right?" the three adults laughed a little.

Robert: "Yeah, we're still going" Mila and Marcus smiled a lot.

Marcus: "Can we have a blueberry picture this time too?" he asked the Doctor.

Doctor: "Of course" she said, smiling. "Would you like to help me print them?"

Marcus: "Can we press the button?" the Doctor nodded. "Okay" he said happily.

The Doctor and the twins moved to the next room where they printed the photos and put them in the folder for Andy and then they printed a copy for the children and then the Doctor gave them a lollipop. Andy and Robert were left alone for a few minutes and he gently cleaned Andy's belly from the gel that the Doctor had used a little while before. When the children reached their parents again, Robert picked them up and, after saying goodbye to the Doctor, all four of them went out to the hospital together. That time the children wanted to go to the toy store to buy something very specific because thanks to that game they would then reveal to everyone the arrival of a baby. Mila and Marcus had seen a funny scene on TV in a cartoon and decided they wanted to do that with their uncles and aunts. Andy and Robert found that scene very funny and so they went along with their children and in that way they would also reveal the arrival of the new baby. However, the children had decided to buy a doll for almost all of their uncles and aunts so they could do some things with them. Once they got to the toy store they went to the section where the dolls were. If the Doctor had told them that Blueberry was a girl or a boy they would have chosen dolls with blue or pink clothes, but since they didn't know, they had to choose another color.

Marcus: "Green" he said pointing to some dolls dressed in green.

Mila: "I don't like it" he replied crossing his arms and huffing.

Marcus: "Yellow?" he asked his sister who shook her head. "Orange" Mila shook her head again. "So that one" he said pointing to some dolls with purple clothes.

Mila: "Yeeees, I like those" she replied smiling.

Marcus: "Are you sure?" Mila nodded. "Ok, so I like them too" he said while his sister hugged him and both Andy and Robert smiled watching that scene.
