Chapter 106

Mila and Marcus were really happy that their mother and little sister arrived home, who had slept very little that night. If they had slept little, consequently Robert had also slept little, but in that way he had taken advantage of it to fix some things in the house so that for the party everything would be perfect. The next morning, while the twins were having breakfast, Robert took advantage of it to take a very quick shower. Mila and Marcus that morning had asked their father if they could have breakfast in the living room while watching TV and, even if it was not a usual thing, Robert obliged them. After Robert had showered and got dressed, he went back to his children who in the meantime had finished having breakfast and had started playing with Lilli and Bunny.

Robert: "Grandmas and Grandpa will be here soon and I will go and pick up mom and your little sister, okay?"

Mila: "And why can't we come too?"

Robert: "Because you will stay at home so you can surprise Mom with the party" she said a little lying because Andy knew about this party.

Mila: "And when will the uncles and aunts arrive?"

Robert: "Soon" the little girl nodded. "And now when the grandmas arrive, you will have a very important task" both twins were curious.

Marcus: "What should we do?"

Robert: "The grandmas made more cupcakes last night with a new recipe and the first to taste them will be you two"

Marcus: "And if we don't like them?"

Robert: "If you don't like them then we won't put them on the table"

Marcus: "Then we have a very important task"

Robert: "Very important" he replied smiling and the two children were really very happy.

The afternoon before, Mila and Marcus had helped Elena and Eleonor prepare some cupcakes and then that evening the two women prepared some more because I wanted to try a new recipe. Elena and Eleonor were sure that the children would like those cupcakes because they were made of a chocolate dough with chocolate chips inside and decorated with chocolate icing. After Robert had his children change their clothes and after checking one last time that everything was ready for the party, as soon as Elena, Eleonor and Daniel arrived, Robert left the house to go to the hospital to see his wife and their little girl. While Robert was with the two of them in the hospital, everyone else arrived at home and Mila and Marcus tasted and approved the new cupcakes. At the hospital, Andy and Robert had to wait a little longer before leaving because the little girl had to finish some checks.

Andy: "It's torture having to wait" she said with a sigh.

Robert: "I know, but I told us that our little girl had to do these checks before coming home"

Andy: "I know, I know, but I can't wait to go home"

Robert: "It won't be long" Andy nodded and rested her head on her husband's shoulder.

Andy: "Is everything at home ready for the surprise party?"

Robert: "Everything is ready" she replied with a smile. "But remember to be very surprised"

Andy: "I'll be so surprised that I'll be very believable" they both laughed.

Robert: "I think our children are eating all the cupcakes our mothers made right now"

Andy: "Did they make the usual cupcakes?"

Robert: "They made more than that. They found a new recipe full of chocolate and I'm sure our kids will go crazy for it"

Andy: "Ohhh, I think so too" she replied smiling and then, just at that moment, a Doctor came in with their little girl.

Doctor: "All the tests we did went well so you can go home safely" he said while Robert picked up his little girl.
