FireBoy and WaterGirl

ARYA HAD BEEN an ADHD demigod her entire life believe it or not. She grew up in a summer camp, has been in multiple battles, and was a leader in a war. She was used to chaos. Normally she thrived in it. Chaos sometimes even gave her a sense of comfort because of the complete dysfunctionality of Camp Half-blood.

However, after accepting a quest she didn't want to be involved in, with people she didn't really have much interest in getting to know, in front of countless campers she hadn't gotten the chance to meet yet. Arya was ready to step away from the world and take a long sleep in her cabin and then wake up tomorrow and start teaching fighting lessons. That's what she had planned on doing anyways.

As it usually does, life looked at her and said 'nope, we're not done dealing out your shitty hand yet', and she just had to accept it, because while she firmly believed that you could shape your fate, she knew you couldn't escape it.

Arya was starting to think that she maybe should have stayed in Europe.

Apparently, she wasn't the only one wanting to get away from the fast turn around that the campfire took. Out of the corner of her eye, while everyone was trying to talk over each other about Piper and the quest, Arya watched Leo slowly back away from everything, unnoticed by everyone but the daughter of Poseidon. When he was far enough away he turned and started running. She wouldn't have given it a second thought if he hadn't run towards the woods. The opposite direction of the Hephestus cabin.

While the chatter, arguments, and fawning over Piper continued. Arya turned to Chiron telling him that she got what she needed from the night, and that she was going to bed. He agreed and she ran off before he could scold her with a fatherly tone about how she just got home and shouldn't be going on quests.

Leo must have been fast because she was unable to see him until the treeline came into sight, and the only reason she was able to catch up to him at all was because he had paused, like he was scared to go into the woods.

As he should be, the dragon was out there somewhere and no one had been able to tame it yet. Anyone that had tried to get close ended up almost dead from fire, or in Jack Mason's case, in a full body cast.
