What to Do When You Run Out of Arrows

HAZEL AND ACE SEPARATED as soon as they took off. Ace was fast but not near as fast as Arion. He knew his protection would have to be from a distance. To his right he saw a stack of boxes that was high enough for him to be able to crawl to the roof of one of the guard towers.

Ace ran with all his might and up to the principal and let his feet carry him seven steps up the wall before pushing off and reaching up, grabbing the top box. His hands became cold from gabbing the frozen boxes. He hoisted himself up and took a few steps back on the roof of the preator building before running and leaping off the edge and grabbing the floor of the watch tower and pulling himself up and over the edge.

No time was wasted as he pulled out his first arrows. Ace loaded two and shot them into the giant's shoulder. His skin was pure gold, meaning it was soft enough that the arrows were able to inflict some kind of damage.

Hazel and Arion were playing a repetitive game. They would run around his feet a few times to confuse him as he swung. Ace's goal was to stop his swing with arrows any time he was going to come a little too close to the daughter of Pluto.

Ace did it in any way he knew possible. He used all five of his electric arrows on the giants. It wasn't enough to take him out for more than a few seconds, but they did a decent job at debilitating a limb for about a minute.

Alcyoneous kept to his promise. He didn't come after Ace, and didn't see him as a threat. If anything Ace was an annoyance. An annoyance that crossed the line when he fired five double tipped arrows into the ice where he was going to step. All five of them lodged themselves into his foot causing him to stumble backward. Hazel managed a good cut up his leg, where oil spilled out on the Ice.

Alcyoneous had grown tired of Ace. When the monster recovered his foot he headed towards the Son of Apollo. Swinging his staff and cutting the watchtower in half. As the structure started to fall Ace dove over the side of the metal guard rail. Landing on the barracks and rolling out of it. Hazel was leading him forward. Directly at Ace.

Ace dared, for a second, to look at Frank and Thanatos to see that the chains were almost off, but Frank's firewood looked dangerously low. Behind him, heading towards the gates of Camp, Percy was fighting through a self-created hurricane making it easier for him to fight and harder for the dead legionaries to find him.
