BACK TO OLD HABITS

CHIRON SEEMED HAPPY to see her for a total of about two seconds, similar to Annabeth. His face and eyes were filled with delight as Arya walked into his office, then the expression dropped to one of worry and concern when he read her body language.

She asked him why he hadn't told her and the old centaur said he left that decision with Annabeth. It didn't help Arya's mood in the slightest. He tried to change the subject and ask her about her trip but she was only interested in talking about Percy.

"How many are out looking for him?" She demanded, her hands resting on his desk as his tail flicked.

"Everyone we know who was willing to help. Nico, Tyson, Mrs. O'Leary, Grover, Thalia and her Hunters."

The list also didn't help her mood. All these people were out looking for her brother while she was on a joy ride across the Atlantic, falsely making herself believe that everything was good. There was no doubt that she should be out looking for him with the others, not standing here learning information three days late.

"And what about Sally?" She asked.

"Annabeth checked in the morning he was discovered missing."

Arya shook her head. This was all so wrong.

There were a million thoughts running around in her head, faster than usual.

She had to go see Sally and Paul, they were probably worried sick, no matter how many times Percy got himself put in dangerous situations she always worried herself as any mother would. Arya would never forget when they all thought Percy was dead last year, Sally and Arya hugged each other while she cried it out.

"When can I start looking for him?" Arya asked, not leaving much room for argument.

"You just got back-" Chiron tried.

"I know, now I'm ready to leave again. Chiron, I have to look for him."

He looked concerned for a moment before a girl's voice called for him outside the Big House saying someone was here to see him.

"Come back later. We'll talk about everything we know and figure out where you can start looking."

The centaur didn't look happy about the whole situation but Arya didn't care. Her brother was missing and she was going to find him no matter what.

She made her way out of the Big House and saw one of the new demigods standing next to Drew Tanaka, the daughter of Aphrodite who Arya had used two years ago to help her discover she didn't have a birth certificate. Drew looked so much more mature now, very different from the sweet little girl who Arya took with her.
