Scars

BY THE TIME HER VISION CLEARED, she was sure Nico was okay in his already weakened state, and she got up the steps and the boys were gone. According to Hedge, Jason grabbed Ace and Leo, flying them down into the city below to follow the dwarves.

Arya paced the deck, keeping her eyes on the streets of the city. It occurred to her that her brain had been in a million different directions today that she wasn't even aware of what city they were above.

"Bolognia." Piper informed her once the daughter of Aphrodite came up above the deck.

About a half mile in front of them the sky darkened and lightning shot out of the sudden clouds. Piper and Arya shared a look, then practically threw themselves over the side of the ship squinting as if they might catch a glimpse of Jason.

She wasn't worried about dwarves. Between the three that were on the ground, there should be no problem getting their stuff back and killing the little bastards. They would be back on track in the air in no time. Her exhaustion could be put to sleep if she just went to her bedroom.

Except one of the three out there was Ace, and she couldn't get herself to just forget about them, they hadn't gone to halfway to tartarus and back for him to get defeated now. She had to see him before she could relax.

So the pacing began again. Twenty minutes of walking back and forth on the deck. Arya spun her daggers in her hands to let her tightened muscles have a break from the death grip.

"I don't think I've ever seen you pull out your daggers first." Piper said, trying to fill the stressful silence.

Arya didn't know if Piper would understand that Arya physically couldn't pull out her trident. It was too heavy for her body to even properly hold right now. The chains attached to her arms and legs felt like someone was adding weight to them with every passing minute.

"Sometimes I like to switch it up."

The sun was just starting to set when Jason's white blond hair came streaking across the sky with two boys in either arm and a large bag of their stolen goods between the three of them.

Jason looked like he was struggling so it wasn't really a surprise when the landing wasn't very graceful.

Both Leo and Ace were more or less dropped along with the sack. The crew's stuff came spilling out as the boys with no flight powers rolled to break their falls.
