"This was life. We had to learn to take the ending of something painful and let it become something else. Give it meaning. Use it as an opportunity to grow, to try something different, to be someone better."

Mountains, on the Shit List

NOTHING WOULD EVER BE AS BAD as walking out of Hades through Orpheus' route while Arya's brother laughed at her in his glowing Achilles immortal form. However, trudging directly uphill, in knee deep snow, to visit a god Arya could have gone my whole life without meeting really put a damper on her already peeved mood.

Piper was in the front of the group feeling rather refreshed after a mix of Phoebe's magical healing and what Coach Hedge referred to as 'Sports medicine'. Arya didn't have the heart to tell the guy that she was pretty sure the mortals had something called Sports Medicine and it dealt a lot more with science than whatever it was Hedge had invented.

Behind Piper, was Phoebe and Hedge to make sure that A) Piper was okay and not going to collapse on them, and B) to make sure the others stayed on the right track.

Following those two were Thalia and a few steps behind the head hunter was Leo and Jason having a conversation about who knows what. She had fallen behind, her short legs making it hard to get through the snow. She was having to practically lift her leg to my chest to even take a step.

Her arms were wrapped around her, hands running ups and down her arms to generate warmth. All the heart she had stocked up on in the cave had disappeared and Leo was no longer next to her with a blanket or fire to warm her back up.

"Come on Arya! Catch up or we're going to leave you." Leo called with a light tone.

"I don't appreciate that right now." She snapped back at him.

He laughed and held up his hands in a defensive manner.

Arya's breathing was heavy, and she wasn't a fan of seeing every breath she took in front of her in a puff.

"Are you okay?" Jason asked, pulling his hat farther to cover his ears.

    "Dandy."

"Oh don't mind her!" Thalia called, slowing down. She let Jason and Leo pass her to fall into step with Arya. "She hates the cold, and trust me when I say you don't want to push her when she's mad."

Arya scoffed and shoved Thalia with her shoulder.

"We figured that much out before we even met her." Piper called from her place in the front.
