Anyone who knows Arya Jackson for more than five minutes knows her opinion of the world, and demigods not so fair place in it. Unfortunately, since the war Arya isn't that easy to get to know. To most she's little more than a legend.
Arya is fine w...

SNIPPETS ON A JOURNEY OF SELF DISCOVERY
"ARE YOU SURE YOU UNDERSTAND everything I just went through?" Arya Jackson said as she finished going through the motions, only to look over to see that the god wasn't looking at her at all, but instead picking at the strings on his lyre.
The daughter of Poseidon put her hands on her hips and glared at him until the silence on the boat resonated with him and he met his honey golden eyes with her sharp blue ones.
"You've been listening to me play, tell me honestly," He held up the instrument as if trying to prove his point. "Do I need to replace the strings?"
Arya was at a loss for words, unable to understand how a god could have a worse attention span than Percy. She took her hand and ran it down her face in frustration. "I'm going to take that stupid thing and throw it overboard."
Apollo took it back and held it close to his chest like it was a child. "Your loss, without this we don't get my awesome tunes."
She made her way across the deck, opened her water bottle, and took a drink needing a minute to calm herself before she did something irrational, like chuck a god over the side of her boat.
"Our deal was that you'd be helpful, remember? it's only been a week and you've shown no sign of being helpful."
Apollo let out a sigh and stood up, waving his hand and letting his lyre disappear from his grip, then walked past Arya to the sail masses.
"I was listening, I just have to make sure these sail things are catching the wind, if the wind changes directions." He walked over to a crank. "I pull this thing, and if wind stops all together." He walked over to the wheel. "I turn this nifty little thing on for the engine and steer us."
Arya hated to admit it, but he wasn't completely wrong about the whole thing. He might not have known the details, or why he had to do certain things, but she felt confident enough that she could actually go to sleep in her bed without worrying about capsizing.
The yawn was building in the back of her throat, and she tried to fight it, but it was a losing battle. Arya had been up almost 48 hours straight trying to keep the two of them far enough away from the brewing storms so that they could avoid the worst of it, but close enough that they didn't have to go completely off track.
"I'm only letting you go because I don't think I can physically keep my eyes open much longer. Just please don't drown us." Arya practically begged.
"Neither one of us can drown." Apollo pointed out, but his face still lost all color.
She shook her head and started to head below deck. Arya hated to admit it, but she was more or less enjoying the time she spent with Apollo.
