Wishing you guys a late Merry Christmas!

George POV.I hadn’t talked to anyone for days after Dream came and yelled at me. I’d just wake up, eat breakfast, deliver something for Dream, have lunch, deliver something else for Dream, do my job, deliver something else for Dream, have dinner, deliver something else for Dream, and then go to bed.
The only person who I interacted with that seemed to care was Bad, he kept glancing at me every time he got the chance and tried to include me in conversations, however I never responded. After a while he seemed to give up completely and stopped trying to get me to interact.
Nobody else cared though. Punz, Skeppy, Quackity, and Sapnap barely interacted with me so the only other person was Dream. But it seemed that the blond wouldn’t even care if I came to each meal in a wheelchair with a big sign that said 'I'm injured', as long as I kept making deliveries he was fine.
I grumbled to myself at the thought as I put away my tray which had been full of food which I had barely touched earlier. An egg and hash browns was considered a treat for breakfast here, and so when I didn’t eat either Sapnap and Quackity eagerly took the food and wolfed it down.
Because I didn’t waste time eating I was the first person out, and while most of the other inmates didn’t seem to even notice me leaving, I noticed that the table I’d been sitting at was all staring silently. All of them besides Dream, of course.
And since nobody else was here I couldn’t make the hand-off for my delivery. Today was something simple, something that even made me smile when I was passed it under the table in the mess hall. Apparently an inmate’s son was celebrating a birthday and so he’d requested chocolate and a card be smuggled in for him.
When I reached my cell and climbed on my bunk I pulled both items out and glanced over them again. It wasn’t fair that this criminal who had possibly stolen, killed, or worse was allowed to see his family and celebrate birthdays with them. I on the other hand got nothing, I didn’t do anything wrong and now I have no contacts except other criminals.
I fell back onto my bed, staring up at the ceiling and thinking about how shit my life was at the moment. To make matters worse, this is going to be my life for the next thirty years until I get released. When I get out I’ll be in my fifties. I won’t be able to get a home, or start a family, or have a decent job.
The sound of quiet chatter amongst the inmates began filling the prison, showing me that breakfast had finished and everyone was doing their own thing. Some of the inmates were going to shower, or use the gym, or head out to the yard, or off to do their jobs. I took it as a sign to make my delivery now, then I can return to moping on my bed until lunch.
Luckily though, this delivery was going to be in my Cell Block, meaning it should take five minutes or less. I hurried off, walking through the halls and past inmates who were all going in the other direction to me. I could feel a lot of them admiring my figure as I passed, which made me shiver in disgust, however it persuaded me to hurry up.
The man I was delivering the chocolate and card to was waiting in the doorway of his cell, spotting me before I spotted him. Dream had given me his description and his hair colour, eye colour, and beard matched what I’d been told by the blond. “Are you here to deliver my stuff?” He questioned as I approached, with me nodding a yes.
I passed the stuff over to him and he gave a thank you, then I scurried off before anything else could happen to me, like what had happened the other day. On the way back I got those same demeaning looks admiring my body, but before I could return to the comfort of my cell I saw some of the guards standing there.
“Is there a problem?” I questioned cautiously as I approached them, part of me feared that they knew about me making deliveries for Dream, however Sapnap had reassured me several times that a lot of the guards were paid off by Dream’s men if they didn’t interfere. These men might be the ones Dream had paid off but I couldn’t be sure.
“No problem.” One of the guards responded. “Are you inmate number 7395 aught-16?” He asked, and I glanced down for a moment to double check the small numbers stitched into the orange before nodding. “Well, you have a new cell mate.”
“Already?” I questioned, immediately getting a strange look from the guards in response.“But Techno only transferred a month ago.” Surely they hadn’t replaced him just yet, and I was just starting to enjoy the peace and quiet too.
“This is how long it usually goes between prisoners. One guy will leave and then someone else takes their place a month later.”I guess it did make sense, I couldn’t expect there to be a long period of time before another inmate turned up, after all crimes will still be happening, and so they need to deal with the prisoners and put them somewhere. It just still felt like it hadn’t been long enough for me to process him leaving.
“Don’t worry,” one of the guards stated, an ounce of kindness seeping through his stone cold expression. “From what I’ve heard he is quite sociable. You two will get along great, but just be cautious of him.” That made me feel sceptical, however I didn’t say anything because it wasn’t like the guards would listen anyway.
“So where is he then?” I asked, glancing around to see if there was anybody I didn’t recognise, however that was useless because I didn’t interact with a lot of people so obviously I wouldn’t recognise all of them.
“He’s on his way up,” the guard responded.I nodded before warily walking into my cell and climbing onto my bunk. My eyes stayed focused on the two guards as they quietly talked to each other, then they stepped back. Two more guards walked passed with a man in prison overalls behind them. His eyes were dim and downcast, however when he saw me a smile grew on his face.
“Shit,” I muttered, noticing how his demeanour changed completely the moment we made eye contact. I shuffled back further as the man was talked to by the guards, then when they finished he nodded before stepping into my cell.
While the guards watched his head remained low, trudging over to the bottom bunk and laying out his things. The instant that the guards walked off he lifted his head to make eye contact with me, the cruel look on his face made my heart drop.
“Well,” he hummed. “Hello there cutie. I didn’t realise that my cellmate was going to be as adorable as you are.”
I felt fear boil up at me and my throat ran dry. “What are you in for?” I wanted to know, mainly because I needed to know how much I should fear him.“You’ll find out later sweetheart,” he reassured me with a purr, making me shake even more violently.
