Info - awkward moments between friends, being unsure about relationship, jealousy, someone implying you'd cheat, comfort, going on a break

"Come on, go on the roller coaster with me," Timothée begged me.

"No Timmy, you know I'm afraid of them," I said giggled.

"Come on, you'll have me," he said and began to move closer with a smirk.

"You'll purposefully make it horrible for me," I said to my best friend.

"Don't be a scardicat," he said and began to poke me and tickle me while repeating the phrase.

"Timothée, stop," I laughed. He was picking me up and tickling my bare stomach when my shirt rode up.

I was liking it until I saw the look of our coworker Sandy giving us a look.

"Put me down," I ordered him.

"Come on-"

"No, Timothée Hal put me down," I shouted and he did. I yanked down my shirt and walked away.

Timothée and I had an odd relationship. People often thought we were together, but we were only friends. We both had partners, partners that worked with us. However, sometimes there were moments where I imagined what it would be like to be with Timothée. We were so much more similar than me and my current partner Joe. Me and Joe had been together for years though.

"Hey I'm sorry, you don't need to get on the rollercoaster," Timothée said. That's when Maria bounded up to him and kissed him. I felt an odd feeling growing in my gut.

I turned away from the couple and I spotted Joe. He was getting ice cream. I went over and began to kiss him desperately. I wanted Timothée to see for some reason.

"Isn't it surprising that this work trip actually rocks?" Maria said and I stopped kissing Joe. Timothée and her were holding hands, but he wasn't beaming as she was.

"Yeah it is a little crazy," I made myself smile.

"Tim!" She squealed, pointing to a machine.

"Aw sick," said Joe and our partners were racing us towards something. It was one of those old timey love-o-meters.

"Okay first we've got to test if this thing works at all, so Joe, you and I go first," Maria said and fed the machine 50 cents. The options were 'practically related', 'a little something', 'sparks flying', 'we're cooking good looking', 'red hot', and finally, 'soul mates'.

Maria and Joe pressed the buttons at the same time. The red lights raced up and down several times until it landed upon 'a little something'.

"Hmmm, this could actually work," Joe said and Maria clapped happily. She was a very bubbly person. I often was jealous of that, I couldn't be that way if I tried.

"Okay Tim, you and me," she said. She always called him Tim, and never his full name or Timmy, I didn't know why it bothered me. They pressed the buttons after giving over the coins. They landed on 'red hot'. Maria was clapping like a maniac, but I saw Timothée make a face I couldn't decipher.

"Now y/n and Joe!" Maria said eagerly. I tried to stop it but she put in the money for us and now I'd feel bad if I didn't. We pressed the buttons and it landed on 'sparks flying'.

"That's a cute one," she said, but clearly felt like her and Timothée were superior.

"Now we HAVE to do Timothée and Y/n," Maria instructed.

"Why?" Timmy asked.

"Because it's been right so far, I can't wait to see it give you two 'practically related' since you guys act so alike you could be siblings," she giggled.
