Plunge into Darkness

Lloyd had his arm wrapped around (y/n)'s shoulders as they descended into the city.

"See I told you, amazing," Jay boasted.

"I wasn't sure it could live up to the legend but... it's even more beautiful," Nya said in awe.

"The ivory city of Shintaro, incredible," Wu marvelled in amazement.

"Still think you're too old to see this," (y/n) grinned. "And before we go any further," (y/n) said nervously.

"What's wrong?" Lloyd asked.

"There may or may not be some bad blood," (y/n) chuckled nervously

"(y/n)," Lloyd questioned sternly.

"Let's just say a very long time ago the royal family of Shintaro pissed off Aera and you can guess what that amounted into," (y/n) pointed out, she was well aware of the family history and she didn't dare tell Lloyd in case he used that as the reason she was left behind.

"No. Starting. Fights," Lloyd said sternly.

(y/n) raised her hands in surrender, "pregnant remember, I wouldn't dare but I can always come back and rip me to shreds after," (y/n) warned.

Lloyd's palm slapped his forehead, he couldn't go anywhere with his wife without some form of drama, he just hoped that whatever beef happened was resolved.

"Who won?" Kai asked.

"100% Aera, ''twas a legendary battle," (y/n) boasted proudly.

Now Lloyd was certain. Recklessness, ruthlessness, the capacity to fight and army was genetic, Windsor genetics.

They were lead into the palace, "It is with great honour, King Vangelis, that I present the famed Ninja of Ninjago Hailmar introduced."

"Welcome, welcome, I'm most pleased that you were able to accept our invitation," the king greeted, "and not to worry old conflicts will remain in the past," Vengelis assured.

Both (y/n) and Lloyd sighed in relief.

"I'm most pleased that you were able to accept our invitation, it is an honour," the King smiled as he bowed in greeting to them.

"The honour is ours," Wu replied as they returned the curtesy by bowing back to the King. "Shintaro is beyond anything we imagined."

"I am only a mere figurehead. The citizens of our proud city are the heart of Shintaro," Vengelis said proudly.

"Oh they're here," the princess smiled as she flew into the room.

"And please meet my heart, her royal princess Vania," King Vengelis introduced.

"I am such a fan, I've read all about your adventures," she stood in front of (y/n) and looked like she was about to pass out, "I can't believe you're here," she squealed but regained her composure, "it was my idea to invite you to my birthday."

The princess moved and stood in front of Cole, smiling happily. (y/n) nudged Lloyd and both he and (y/n) recognised the smile on his face. "You know this entire group left me in the dark and teased me about it," Lloyd whispered to (y/n).

"What did they do?" (y/n) asked.

He smiled at her, grazing his thumb over her cheek, "they wouldn't help me realise how much I love you nor figure out a way to tell you."

"You didn't need their help, you figured it out just fine," (y/n) smiled as she leaned into his side, he wrapped and arm around her waist and they went back to watching Cole make goo goo eyes at the princess.
