The Road To Recovery

(y/n)'s head rested in Lloyd's lap. She was getting weaker by the second. Nya's vehicles came in handy for a medical emergency.

Lloyd's father rested a comforting hand on his son's shoulder, he could tell that he was extremely worried for (y/n). Before he was tossed off the cliff into the ocean, he got to watch the ferocity of the Master of Wind, it was like watching an invisible blender. (y/n)'s power was also the reason why he was thrown into the ocean; a gust of wind had sent him tumbling out of the grip of his captor. "She'll be fine," he reassured but he got no answer from LLoyd.

Lloyd just shrugged as he ran a hand through (y/n)'s hair. This was his fault. He got out of the vehicle as fast as lightning as soon as they stopped at Sensei Garmadon's monastery. Lloyd held (y/n) close to his chest as he sprinted up the hill. He used his foot to slide the door open, "Mum?!" he called out. He heard footsteps run towards him.

"'Lloyd?" she questioned. But then her eyes fell on (y/n) and she gasped. "What happened?" she asked frantically as she led Lloyd down the hall.

"She got hurt protecting me," he said sadly as Misako gestured to Lloyd to lay (y/n) down on an infirmary bed.

Misako gave Lloyd a quick hug and squeezed his shoulder, "(y/n)'s will is strong, I have a feeling she won't let this beat her," she turned to the medical cupboard to grab out the supplies she needed to heal the unconscious girl. "You better be going, I'll look after her and give my love to your father for me," she said as she began to try and help (y/n)'s wounds.

"Will do Mum," he said as he walked to the door. He turned back for a second and his eyes landed on (y/n)'s. Her eyes were shut tight, it was like she was sleeping, he just hoped that she would wake up. He closed the door behind him.

"(y/n), (y/n), (y/n)," Misako sighed as she shook her head at the girl. The first thing she needed to do was dress (y/n)'s wounds then she would have to send word to a hospital to get (y/n)'s blood type for a transfusion. "You lost a lot of blood, you have a punctured lung, broken leg, broken wrist, a concussion, you've been shot three times and the list is continuing," she sighed as she began to bandage her up. She brushed a hair out (y/n)'s face.

It took everything in Misako's power not to let fear and dread wash over her. She had grown fond of (y/n). Her quick jokes and humor brightened a room, yet she could silence it. Misako would never admit it, but she had always wanted a daughter, and it made her heart swell when (y/n) came to her for medical attention. She considered (y/n) to be her daughter and loved her like one.

It was the thought of her waking up and going back to help everyone. That made her keep going. She knew how Lloyd would react when she woke up and seeing the two together made her feel lighter than air, knowing that the two would have each other's backs.

Misako sat on the chair by (y/n)'s bedside as she finished the last of the medical treatment. All she needed was a blood transfusion and some doctors and nurses would arrive in the morning to assist her but for now she was stable. "Bones are easier to treat than flesh wound's (y/n), they also present a lesser chance of death," she lightly scolded.

Misako had sat by (y/n)'s side the entire night and through the blood transfusion. The doctors said that she was stable and would wake up soon. It made the worry lessen, because Misako knew that she wouldn't be sure that (y/n) was okay unless she woke up. Misako's head snapped up as she heard (y/n) take a deep breath.

"I'm aaaaliiiiveee," (y/n) rasped as she opened her eyes, "or we're both deeeeaaaad," she continued as her eyes fluttered open. Misako chuckled, (y/n)'s humor never ceased when injured.

"After the pain killers wear off, you'll begin to feel the full extent of the land of the living," Misako smiled. "But in all seriousness, (y/n), you were badly injured."
