They had returned to the mines. Skeletons grabbed (y/n)'s arms, forcing them behind her back. "You better let go before I snap your arms off," she snarled.

She felt something cool snap on her wrists and she felt all connection to her element locked away. "(y/n)!" Lloyd called out but he was blocked off by the skull sorcerer.

"I'll be taking this one, to insure you don't try anything," the skull sorcerer snarled.

The green skull cackled. (y/n) was tempted to throw the guards off her, rip em to shreds but with vengestone clamped over her wrists, she'd barely be able to summon her staff. A lone cage lowered from the roof, the door swung open and (y/n) was shoved in.

Lloyd and the others were forced to a larger vengestone cage. "She's going to be mad when she gets out of that," Lloyd quivered.

Jay laid a hand on his shoulder, "you just better hope she's madder at the skull sorcerer than you," Jay assured.

Lloyd felt even more stupid as the Munce and the Geckles were marched into the cave and forced to work. Lloyd slumped against the bars, he could practically envision (y/n)'s 'I told you so' stare.

Nya pulled at the bars, trying to summon her powers, "save your strength sis, it's vengestone," Kai sighed.

Nya scowled, "the Munce had faith in me and now look at them, right back where they were, in chains," Nya flopped onto the ground, "I can't believe we were gullible enough to trust the skull sorcerer."

"This is 100% Lloyd's fault," (y/n)'s voice rang out, a bead of nervous sweat trickled down Lloyd's brow.

"Yep, I'm probably going down as the worst Geckle chancellor in history," Kai grumbled.

"I do not see that we had any choice," Zane pointed out.

"We could have chosen violence!" (y/n)'s voice called out again.

"Zane's right, I'd we hadn't surrendered, he would have destroyed all of them," Jay agreed.

"At least they're still alive, there's still hope," Lloyd reasoned.

"That's the spirit but unfortunately there is no hope," the skull sorcerer snarled, he flew in front of their cage, "I have decided a demonstration is needed to show my true power over these mountains."

"What kind of demonstration?" Kai questioned.

"For too long the Geckles and the Munce have resisted my rule but when they witness your destruction..."

"Destruction," the skull repeated.

"When all hope is lost."

"Lost."

"They will submit."

"What are you going to do to us?" Jay asked nervously.

"You will perish at the talons of grief bringer!"

"Grief bringer!"

"Okay that's getting annoying," Nya huffed.

"Yeah I don't know who to look at, you or the skull," Kai added smugly.

"I'm looking at the skull, it's not as ugly," Jay piped up.

"Silence!" The sorcerer roared. "Enjoy your final moments of levity."

"They will be you last," the skull screeched.

"Aren't you forgetting one thing? Cole," Lloyd said confidently. He winced as a rock was hurled at his head, he frowned at the others, they all shook their heads at him, they didn't throw it. "He's still out there and if I know Cole by now he's found King Vangelis and told him everything. They're probably on their way to stop you right now. Ow!" Another rock hit the back of his head, how is she even getting rocks to throw at him??? He wondered.
