Sleep didn't come easy to Lloyd, lately it hadn't. He stared up at the ceiling and listened to the gentle snores of the people around him. Except Dareth and Karloff of course, their snores where as loud as an engine.

He sat up and glanced outside the windows, he wondered what time it was. A breeze drifted in from the many holes in the depot. It felt chilly yet the tail of the gust felt warm. He stood up and walked outside, he shoved his hands into his pockets and stared up at the sky. There were barely any stars, yet the warm glow of daylight was barely able to be seen.

Lloyd climbed on to the top of the warehouse, he was just able to see the warm glow of daylight as it crept over the tops of the skyscrapers. There was an ache in his chest, he unconsciously clutched the ring he planned on giving (y/n), he scrunched his eyes tight. He felt that he had deserved this pain, it was an ache far worse than any wound that he had ever dealt with.

He sneezed as something brushed against his nose. He opened his eyes to see pink petals. "I suppose you have nothing better to do," Lloyd sighed.

What he didn't know was that (y/n) sat next to him. "You have no idea," she muttered as she pulled her legs up to her chest and laid her head on her knees. She knew she couldn't see her because he would have started some sort of rant already which meant Lloyd might as well be talking to thin air.

"It's a lovely morning," Lloyd said as he leaned backward and watched as the gentle hues of dawn chased away the night sky.

"How would I know?" (y/n) scoffed. "I cannot feel the chill or warmth of the breeze, I cannot feel the invisible texture of its invisible ribbon not the warmth or daylights gentle kiss. The dawn just isn't the dawn for me anymore, not whilst I'm in limbo."

"The dawn just isn't the same for me. You used to glow in the morning light, and it would make me feel everything would be okay because you would always be at my side," Lloyd said as he laid down on the roof to watch the grey clouds drift by.

They both sighed as they watched the brightening sky. "What did I do wrong? It feels like a life time ago that you were sitting right next to me. I miss the days when we were friends and more, I miss your advice, I miss having you at my side," he muttered.

"You let me die, that's what went wrong and then you lied about avenging me and then you wanted to conspire to get rid of me, you're not innocent," (y/n) hissed. "But I miss it too," she admitted. "You were more than my best friend. Brick I would have torn Ninjago to shreds if you asked me to, I'd have died in your place," she sighed. The calmness on her face disappeared as it turned into a frown, "but I died in vain, a pitiful death, I'd rather have died on the battlefield, that would have given me peace," she spat.

"If I could bring you back today I would, I would trade everything for you," Lloyd sighed. "But I can't, not with everything that has been going on," he closed his eyes tight, "it's unfair, I've always had to put Ninjago before you."

"That's where you're wrong, when I died, you put Harumi first," she scoffed, "I'm not an idiot, you were slowly falling for her act. She was innocent, generous, elegant and was like you, both took a toll because of your duties," (y/n) sighed, "I was fooling myself; I am nothing like Harumi and you chose her over me," (y/n) whispered as she jumped from the roof.

Lloyd watched as the leaves drifted away, he sighed. She was gone again. He didn't know what she was thinking or what she was saying, he wished he had seen Misako for some tea so that he could see her. Then again... almost every time they locked eyes with each other if was like standing on the brink of battle that always ended in a fight.

With wicked grins Harumi's spies crept along the garbage facility. The group scaled on top of the roof. Little did they know they were being watched. The wind howled as a chill sank into the skin of those that prepared to ambush the resistance. Clouds swarmed over head. "Brick," one of them swore as a tornado roared to life. As quick as they climbed the building they jumped down. Confusion mixed with the fear as the depot wasn't touched by the winds. Screams of terror were carried by the wind as the spies were plucked from the ground and thrown across the city.
