The silence was numbing, the black void endless, Lloyd had been here before except he didn't have his golden powers to enlighten the dark, "Sensei! Kai! Jay! (y/n)! Anyone!" his voice echoes into the dark, the sound bounced off endless walls that weren't there.

"You lose!" A menacing voice called out. His heat sank as he turned around to face the Overlord. The embodiment of evil laughed manically as its jaws clamped over him. He braced himself for the impact but felt none. His legs felt frozen as he tried to run.

He sighed in relief, Sensei Wu, Jay, Cole, Kai and Zane stood in front of him, their backs turned, "guys!" he called out to them but something was off, they turned around. Dread washed over Lloyd, all color had been drained from them and their eyes flowed with a purple matter. "N-no" he stammered as he stumbled backwards, "t-this is all a dream, I defeated the Overlord," he cried out.

"You were meant to save us," Kai raged.

"You failed!" Cole continued.

"We should have never trusted you!" Jay spat as they attacked him. But before their attacks could reach he fell through the invisible floor. It felt crushing he knew this was a dream.

He shielded his eyes from the light. He almost stopped breathing. (y/n) had blood dripping down her face, blood stained her gi from various wounds but she still faced down the Overlord with an unrelenting glare. "No! (y/n)! Please run!" he begged but (y/n) still remained where she was, facing down the lord of evil. She ran in to attack but was blown backward, "(y/n)!" he cried out. His legs finally allowed him to move as he ran to her side. He fell to his knees as he pulled her head into his lap. His arms shook as he watched the color drain from her face and when she opened her eyes again, they were purple. He gasped as he was thrown backwards by a gust of wind, (y/n) towered over him with an uncaring glare.

"You lose." She said as she stomped on him.

He sat up gasping as he scanned the area frantically. He calmed down as he realized that he was in his hotel room. He reminded himself that he was accepting an award on behalf of the team from a town that was very grateful to be freed from the Overlord's clutches. He stared up at the ceiling, he was so close to losing it all, sometimes he thought it was pure luck that he did win.

Wind chimes outside his window blew in the breeze. He got out of bed and opened them so that he could clearly hear the melodious chimes. His heart was in his throat, he had also come close to losing (y/n) a couple of times, she had a knack for running off on her own without the group. He knew she could handle herself he just always thought of the worst.

So he brought her along to all the awards ceremonies and was quite glad to have the company. It meant he had to make sure his speeches were perfection otherwise he would get tease. He stuttered on the first speech and she hadn't dropped it for weeks. It also made the public speaking a little easier because even though she would tease him, she would be a great encouragement.

He noticed something moving on a hill under a cherry blossom tree. (y/n). He smiled to himself. She only missed a sunrise when knocked out. He watched from the window as she moved with the breeze, practicing her fighting forms that were completely different to to the ones he was taught. He noticed that her movements were graceful yet executed with a high amount of balance and body control. He could tell because she was doing the forms on top of a thin pole. He usually hated waking up at sunrise but now he wouldn't miss it for the world if it meant he could enjoy the peace and quiet with her.

He quickly changed into his gi and raced up the hill. It was steeper than he estimated. He stumbled as he reached the top, his legs swept out from under him by a gust of wind. "Hey!" he called out. Her giggled filled his ears as she jumped down as reached a hand out to help him up.
