Blown Away (Lloyd Garmadon x Reader)

When Tomorrow Comes

"Lloyd Wu said be careful with that scroll it's dangerous," Nya warned as she drove the land bounty back to the monastery.

"I'll be careful," Lloyd promised. He opened the scroll and flames danced on the top of his head, his eyes glowed a bright green.

(y/n) frowned in concern, "maybe you should wrap it up again, just to be safe," (y/n) suggested.

"I said I'll be careful," Lloyd snapped at her, his voice was distorted and (y/n) was no fool, power corrupts especially when not taught to wield high amounts of it responsibly.

(y/n) and Lloyd's angry glares clashed. Nya looked over her head in surprise, she had never heard Lloyd snap at (y/n) like that. Lloyd shook his head, "(y/n), I'm sorry, I don't know what overcame me," Lloyd apologised.

"It's the scroll. Put. It. Down." (y/n) said firmly, he gaze remained firm as Lloyd held the staff in his grasp. He stood up and laid the staff in the back.

"Why can you wield it without any side effects?" Lloyd wondered.

(y/n) frowned in thought as well, "I don't know, maybe it's because I'm used to being in contact with high amounts of power and regulate it constantly through meditation and exercise," (y/n) pondered.

The ride remained relatively silent as they approached the monastery. Lloyd and (y/n) ran to the deck as the land bounty was raised into the main hangar.

"I'll deal with the extras," (y/n) offered as she hurled herself and her power at Aspheera's army.

"Aspheera!" Lloyd called out as he raised the second staff to the air.

"The second scroll? Impossible" Aspheera snarled.

"I'm full of surprises," Lloyd quipped.

(y/n), Lloyd and Nya leaped from the land bounty. The others stood at their side. Aspheera and Lloyd's spinjitzu powers clashed. Aspheera kicked Lloyd backwards. Jay was next to pick up that staff and attack but he was no match for Aspheera. Cole followed and ended up faring no better than the others, neither did Kai. When Zane took hold of the staff he had frozen all enemies in the room.

"How did he do that?" Jay gasped.

"It's the power of the scroll of forbidden spinjitzu," Wu explained, "Zane give it to me." Zane looked hesitant, "Zane!" Wu demanded.

Aspheera broke from the ice, "look out!" Lloyd warned. A blast of power from Aspheera's hurled towards Wu and at the last second Zane pushed him to the side, vanishing. Everyone in the room was stunned.

(y/n) returned, she could tell by the atmosphere in the room something bad had happened. There was a scorch mark on the ground and Zane was gone.

Aspheera broke from the ice but before she could summon any of her spells, (y/n) rushed her. The staff of wind was slammed into Aspheera's head, sending the snake into the wall. There was no triumphant grin on (y/n)'s face, no quip to celebrate the victory, too much had already been lost.

Pixal awoke with a gasp, every time she slept she was reminded of what happened to the person she cared about the most.

She wandered outside the monastery and sat on the porch staring up at the sky. Someone sat next to her and wrapped a blanket around her shoulders. Pixal looked to the person that sat beside her, Lloyd . "Thank you but I do not feel the cold," Pixal said sadly.

"Sometimes it's not about feeling the cold or not," Lloyd said as he sat beside her. "I figured you'd come out here."

"How so?" Pixal asked.
