Lloyd spotted (y/n) hiding behind Jay as Nya glared scornfully at her. "(y/n)!" Lloyd called out to her.
She looked over to him with a beaming smile, he opened his arms and welcomed her into them. She wrapped her arms around his neck pecked his lips. Lloyd felt like he could melt in her arms.
"I'm glad you're okay," Lloyd smiled. Her cupped her cheek, his thumb slowly traced circles over her warm skin, she leaned into his touch.
"It's good to see you all," Wu greeted as he opened the doors to the warehouse to welcome the ninja.
"It's good to see you too Master," Lloyd replied. (y/n) stood close by as they walked towards the entrance.
"I just wish we had better news," Nya sighed.
"Yeah, doesn't look like we can count on any help," Jay further explained.
Nya looked over to (y/n), she stared at (y/n) until their gazes met. Nya glanced between her and Lloyd. Did you tell him yet? Nya's gaze practically screamed.
(y/n)'s eyes left Nya's, No.
Nya's gaze became more intense forcing (y/n) to look at her and as the others spoke they were having their own conversation. You have to tell him sooner or later (y/n) neither you are eyes knows what's keeping that damn poison from taking hold. Lloyd can't afford to lose you again.
Nya watched (y/n) shoulders slump. I know, I'll figure out how to tell him later.
(y/n) followed Lloyd and the others inside. Nya wasn't wrong, she was hoping that the poison was just gone but it wasn't, she could feel exhaustion slowly creep into her bones. What happened on the other side was able to bring to reverse death, not what happened before, it was a problem that (y/n) knew couldn't be solved whilst they were dealing with the overlord.
"(y/n), you have something on your mind?" Lloyd pried.
"No I don't," she quickly answered.
"Do you mind giving us a few minutes I know what you need to tell us is important Master but we need to talk?" Lloyd requested.
Master Wu nodded. "Just don't take too long."
Lloyd held (y/n)'s hand as he led her outside. He gazed up to the roof, "can you throw us up there?" He asked.
(y/n) raised an eyebrow at him in surprise but did as he asked and used the wind to launch the both of them onto the roof. Together they sat down on the edge and gazed over the ruined city.
(y/n) rested her head on Lloyd's shoulder. They two sat together in silence just enjoying each others presence. "You're right there is something on my mind," (y/n) spoke up.
"I'm listening," Lloyd said as he pulled her into his lap, she sank into his hold, wishing for this all to be over, wishing to never close her eyes.
She recounted that dreadful night, the flames, the cries of her children and how she simply dosage the power to fight them off. "But, I knew they were coming," (y/n) said, "so I asked Aspheera to get the kids and get them to Jack at the temple of wind, they're safe."
Lloyd felt that a load had been lifted off his shoulders, they were alive, they were safe. That was all that matters. He sighed in relief. "But."
"Oh no, (y/n), I don't like where this is going," Lloyd said nervously.
"My incineration was undone by Morro, Mystake and Azan, who all gave their souls so that I could live again however they couldn't reverse the damage Harumi had done, her blade was tipped in a poison that causes its victim to fall into a deep coma," (y/n) warned.
