(y/n) pulled herself out of bed. Her hands immediately shot towards the wound on her chest, hissing in pain. She cried out as she forced her legs over the side of her bed. Her eyelids felt like lead, the world was spinning pulling her towards the darkness she had escaped from.
Crying, it snapped her awake. She expected her legs to hold her but she crumbled to the floor, reaching out to the sounds of wails. "Lloyd," she choked out, she was in so much pain, she sobbed, her whole body shook from the tiniest of movements. She pulled herself across the ground to the crying noises. The sounds of her children echoed around her, it was as if they were screaming for her and she couldn't do anything. She used the wall to help her stand. She forced herself to smile as she stared into the crib, that wasn't there is was her mind playing tricks. Her two babies, her two precious children, her left hand reached down and cupped Arwen's cheek, her right was held by Lilium's small and tiny hands.
They weren't there but her longing for them materialised her memory of them. She leaned into the cot and kissed their cheeks. "I love you," she told them and at the sound of her voice and her tender touch they stopped crying. "There is nothing in this world that can take me from you, you may not be able to see or hear me but I am there, my love for you is stronger than the death that tries to drag me into its embrace." Her voice was filled with anguish and pain, longing. Where is Lloyd? She was at her weakest. She needed him to pick her up, she longed to be in his warm embrace. "Mumma loves you." She said one last time to the children that weren't there to hear her.
She fell to the floor again, the ceiling was blurry, yet again the darkness called for her. In that moment she knew why her enemies had spared her and left her in such a state, she was dangerous alive, she was even more dangerous dead. Whatever they had done to her put her in a limbo she could not escape, only death would give her sweet release. She felt a pang of guilt, tears flowed from her eyes, she knew it would mean leaving them, her precious children and it hurt her as much as the toxins in her veins. She stopped her tears, logically this was the only conclusion, the only way she could ensure they would grow up free from darkness. "Lloyd," she choked, hoping that he was somewhere in the darkness ready to pull her into his loving arms.
She could feel his arms around him but it brought no warmth or comfort because he wasn't there. "Please," she begged, she had never wanted for much in her life but in that moment, her lowest point, she just wanted her husband. She pulled herself to her feet again screaming at the strain. She grabbed the wall and hobbled outside and fell to her knees. She coughed and coughed, it was as if her lungs wanted to leap from her body. "Lloyd," she cried again. The pain was too much. "Help me," she begged, she couldn't do this alone. She could see his face, she could envision how his blonde locks would fall at the side of his face, she could even imagine the tongue lashing she'd get for her recklessness. She do anything just to have him at her side, his warm touch was ghost-like but it was the only thing that pulled her through the burning in her skin and forced her to stay awake.
She felt a rumble under her feet. Her ever reliant instincts snapped to attention as she pulled herself to her feet. She turned around slowly, shuffling. She didn't even feel like half the warrior she once was. Before her stood Aspheera, Pythor, Mechanic and Vangelis, they held the four weapons of spinjitzu. (y/n) could tell they quaked in their boots, scared how she would react, (y/n) could tell that to them she looked like a cornered and beaten beast, a beast that has not lost the spirit to fight. Aspheera was the only one of them that looked genuinely concerned, she did warn (y/n) of what was coming but (y/n)'s pride refused to believe her and she was now in deep trouble. She regretted that. Mutual respect and a warrior's honor governed many, (y/n) now realised that it governed Aspheera as well.
(y/n) prepared to run forward, charged into battle but her legs gave out, crumbling underneath her, she collapsed onto her stomach barely able to fight. Pythor chuckled, "so much for the wrath of the skies," he teased as the group confidently walked past. Aspheera stopped next to her pitiful figure, "Wu and the others are unconscious in your basement, you haven't much time," she warned as she followed her companions. Aspheera glanced over her shoulder, there was no honour in what they had done to her and for that she felt truly remorseful for striking down such a noble person.
