"Lloyd!" the team cried out as they rushed over to hug the green ninja.

"I'm glad to see you're all okay," he smiled. He was glad that they were alive.

There was little joy to his voice though, there was a smile on his face but it was like everything happy about the situation was drained away.

Nya couldn't step forward and welcome him back, she just felt to guilty, she was the last person to see (y/n) alive and she was powerless to try and save (y/n).

"You okay buddy?" Kai asked. It was as if there was a mask on Lloyd's face and the mask was crumbling.

The adrenaline had left Lloyd's body and his legs felt like jelly, Cole and Kai swooped to keep Lloyd up right before he could fall. Lloyd was trembling, Kai and Cole glanced at each other and then at the others.

Lloyd desperately tried to wipe their tears away. "Do you know what happened?" He shook, he needed to know, he felt like his mind would have in on him if he didn't know what happened to them. Everything that had transpired was threatening to drown him.

Nya scrunched her eyes tight as a tears slipped from her eyes, she would never forget the pricking heat of the fire that had turned the Master of Wind to ash. Nya could hear the echoes of the crackling flames and the explosion play over and over in her head like a broken record player.

Jay looked over to Nya. She wasn't doing okay either. Jay could see it in the way her eyes shook and the slight trembling of her hand. He took Nya's hand and gave it a comforting squeeze. Nya took a deep breath as she prepared to relive a nightmare. "I went to check on them like you asked but when I arrived a fire had swept through the place, the twins were gone and (y/n) was badly wounded," Nya said unsteadily.

That was like a knife to the heart, anything could have happened to the twins, Lloyd shut his eyes tight to stop himself from crying, "Harumi, Harumi attacked (y/n) and Harumi was pretty much ripped apart by (y/n)... you said she was injured when you found her so when did she..."

Lloyd had to swallow the scream the welled up in his throat. This pain was more than he could bare, more than anyone could bare, the grief was suffocating.

"I brought her back to the monastery..." Nya choked back a sob. She couldn't say anymore,  she saw that monitor with her own eyes, (y/n)'s brain was dead but that stubbornness... the same stubbornness that gets her in trouble forced her way out of a certain coma.

Skylor stepped up from the underside of the ship, "but (y/n) was in a state worse than death a coma, she was healing but her mind was dead." Skylor spoke up. "She shouldn't have been able to wake up, whatever poison in her system was designed to put her in a sleep like death."

"I don't know what changed but... the only reason I escaped from the monastery is because (y/n) saved me... she wasn't strong enough to fight the fire though," Nya answered.

Lloyd fell to his knees and sat down and leaned against the side of the bounty and stared up at the clear blue sky. So that's was happened. That fighting spirit refused to remain brain dead and instead chose a death that freed (y/n) from entrapment from her own body. "Harumi is dead..." Lloyd said and everyone fell silent, Lloyd was not a killer. "And I'm the one that dealt the blow..." Lloyd shielded his eyes from the light of the sun, "I don't know why revenge makes (y/n) feel better because, personally, I'm drowning." He sobbed, Lloyd rarely cried in front of them but he sobbed freely.

No one said a word, Lloyd had lost close to everything. Kai, Cole, Zane and Jay sat quietly at Lloyd's side. "We miss them too," Cole finally spoke up.

"They're not coming back," Lloyd sobbed, Kai pulled him in for a hug.
