(y/n) peaked out of her room, knowing that if she was spotted wondering around she would be sent back to rest. She had enough of sleep. What she needed most at the moment, after sustaining a concussion, bruised ribs and a sprained ankle, was fresh air. She took a deep breath as she stepped on the bounty's deck and relished in the gentle winds that swirled around her. She had to admit her ankle was feeling better, it was only a mild pain, like a pinch that reminded her that it was still there. Her eyes followed a booming noise as she watched coconuts explode in the air. She sighed in disbelief, she wondered how deaf the stone warriors were, those bangs could probably be heard for miles.
She leaned over the side of the bounty. Zane, Kai, Zane and Jay were messing around with their new blades on the beach and Lloyd was talking to Sensei Wu and Zane's father. She jumped off the side of the bounty, using the wind to land silently as softly as she approached Sensei Wu and Lloyd. "What if I don't do my part? What if I can't defeat my father?" she heard Lloyd ask Sensei Wu.
"Then we all die and Ninjago becomes a wasteland of darkness," (y/n) quipped as she stood by Lloyd's side, nudging him with a mischievous grin.
"Every encouraging (y/n), way to settle the nerves," he sarcastically thanked as he rolled his eyes.
"You can thank me later," she winked. Lloyd shook his head at her. He could persuade her not to fight when she didn't want to, but he had a feeling her injuries would have to be a lot worse for her to decide to stay in bed. After all, the wind only changes course on it's own accord, it cannot be forced.
Sensei Wu laid a hand on Lloyd's shoulder, "What if there are no more 'what if's', the final battle is almost upon us, when that time comes, we will know the answer to what if, whether we like it or not," Sensei Wu assured.
(y/n) nudged Lloyd playfully, "no pressure."
"I know you don't want to face your father, but there is no other choice," Nya spoke up.
"But perhaps there is, after what you told me (y/n) I did a bit of digging. I used to think it was inevitable but then I found this," Misako said as she unrolled a scroll upon the table for all eyes to see.
"You mean Lloyd doesn't have to fight this I gotta hear," Cole added as he and the other returned from the beach. (y/n) turned and raised and eyebrow at them.
"You guys are lucky the stone warriors are deaf," she mused as she crossed her arms over her body.
"We're glad to see you too (y/n)," Kai reworded as the four Ninja circled the table.
"The scroll says that when the helmet of darkness is bequeathed to it's rightful ruler, the celestial clock will count down to the activation of an unspeakable weapon," Misako informed. "The first sign that the final battle between good and evil has begun."
(y/n) frowned, she had seen that helmet from. Her head ached as she tried to strain her memory. Some couple of things were foggy, a side effect to the concussion but she swore to herself that she had seen that helmet before.
"Did you say unspeakable weapon?" Kai asked nervously.
"I'm still stuck on what 'bequeathed' means," Jay grumbled.
"Go on Misako don't let us interrupt you, how do we stop the final battle?" Cole prompted.
"There is nothing here that explains what would happen if the helmet of darkness returns," Misako pointed out.
"Interesting. Remove the helmet, the clock starts. Put it back the clock stops," Sensei Wu added.
"And the final battle never starts," Lloyd finalized.
