Something in his chest sank as he fought a losing battle. The Overlord's attacks felt worse than burning alive. He glanced over at (y/n), her eyes were glassy with fear and worry. He watched as lshe took a couple of steps forward to run to him but was stopped by Master Wu. That's when her gaze became one that was filled with anger as she pulled away and ran at the Overlord. He couldn't bare watching her suffer the same pain as him but he couldn't find the strength to tell her to stop. It felt like he was hit by a train at he was released from the Overlord power. The last thing he saw was (y/n), the wind whipped around her as she stood before him. He tried reaching out to her, tell her to run so that he could at least be at peace that his best friend was safe.

It went black.

His eyes ached as he tried to open them again. A shadow was cast over a light, "(y/n)?" he rasped. He knew that if push came to shove she'd do her best to rip the Overlord to shreds and he had first hand experience on how painful that was.

"He's awake how're you feeling?" Zane's father asked. Lloyd placed a hand to his head, it felt like he had been slammed by 100 trains. He winced as he felt a sharp pain in his ankle, "luckily that's the worst of your injuries," Zane's father explained as he pulled out a bandage. Lloyd scanned the area hastily looking for (y/n), he say, Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole, Master Wu and his mother. Panic began to set in when he didn't see (y/n). Did she fight the Overlord? Was she okay? He stirred he needed to find her.

"Lloyd!" Misako cried out as she stood beside her son, "how are you feeling?" she asked with a frown, there was a growing pit in her chest as she realized that if it wasn't for (y/n)'s quick thinking the battle could have been lost. Sensei Wu came over and stood at Misako's side.

"I feel like I was hit by a train," he groaned. "Where's (y/n)?" he asked, his heart thundered in his chest as they frowned in concern.

The other four Ninja walked over to Lloyd. Kai scratched the back of neck nervously and ashamed. They were meant to protect Ninjago and he was too slow to follow (y/n) through the vortex so he could give her a hand. The vortex closed before he could get close. Kai felt that he should be the one to tell him, "The Overlord opened a vortex to Ninjago, (y/n) followed them through to try and evacuate people and buy us time," Kai informed.

Dread flooded Lloyd, he knew she could handle the stone warriors. But she would be up against the entire army, their weapons, tanks and the Overlord. "And you let her go alone!" he shouted. He tried to stand but stumbled and fell. "She could die out there!"

"There was nothing we could do, the vortex closed before any of us could get there, (y/n) was the only one fast enough," Cole defended.

Sensei Wu sighed, "the wind is unpredictable, untamable and an unstoppable force, I doubt there was anything anyone could have said or done to change her mind," Sensei Wu spoke up.

Trust me. He heard her voice echo.

(y/n) dove away from the army and behind the nearest shelter she could find. A car. As soon as they were a good distance away she took off, she needed to hide people because for all she new any surrounding towns were infested by the Overlords dark zombies. She had to get them into the sewers, even if it was unpleasant.

The wind blew ominously, it was warning her. She didn't know how long it would take Lloyd to get up and for the others to mend the bounty, but as the only Ninja in the city, she felt responsible for trying to do what she could to help people. She ran to the nearest apartment complex. "Hello?" she yelled up the stairs. She wandered up and heard rustling in a room. She opened the door to find a mother and child huddled in a corner, "it's okay I'm here to help," she assured. She peaked into the hallway. "If there's anyone in here, follow me to the sewers, you'll be safe there," she assured as more people stepped out of their rooms. The mom in front of picked up her son and followed (y/n) out. As (y/n) reached the door she checked for the evil army, she motioned them to follow and opened the grate to the sewers.

She helped people climb in, "stay here and stay silent," she said as she closed the opening behind them. She needed to make sure no one else was out in the open. The wind howled as dark ominous clouds covered the sky, she knew it was not nature's doing. She watched as the clouds swirled in a center and black tendrils fell to the Earth. "Ooh, is it the Ninja?" she heard someone's voice on the wind, it sound like Jay's mother. She followed the sound to Dareth's dojo. She stopped in front of them. "No it isn't and we are all in danger," (y/n) warned.

She gasped as she heard the whirring of the treads on the Overlords weapon. She stood in front of the group protectively. "Run!" she said as she faced down the Overlord.

The Overlord laughed manically at her, "so the pest continues to get underfoot," he snarled. The wind stirred around them, threateningly. The Overlord laughed at her, "stupid girl, your powers are useless against the endless darkness," he smirked evilly. Dark matter was fired at her, but she blew it to the side with the wind. She wasn't here to beat him, just keep him busy.

The rapid firing turrets aimed at (y/n), she leaped backwards, dodging every ounce of dark matter fired at her. She scowled as she jumped backwards. The Overlord grinned at her. "Kill her," he ordered as Nya attack with a guttural snarl.

(y/n) rolled her eyes. It was getting old. She side stepped Nya and threw her into the side of a building. "I'm not here to stop you, just distract," (y/n) muttered as she formed a tornado. It was like a blender as it picked up the debris around her and began to shred buildings. "Come on," she groaned, she needed it to get stronger. She fell to her knees as it felt as if she was tearing herself apart. She released the tornado upon the army as it ripped apart surrounding buildings.

Using the wind she ran and quickly caught up with Dareth and the others. "This way!" she cried out as she lead them down an alleyway.

"Are the Ninja okay?" she heard Cole's father asked.

"Will they save us?" she heard a little boy ask as he tugged on her pants. She looked down at him with a kind smile.

"We'll be fine," she assured as she ruffled his hair, "I'm just the welcoming party," she joked as she opened up the sewers. The group groaned, "I know it smells bad but there's currently a tornado, along with the stone army heading our way and you don't want to be on the surface," she cautioned as she lead them into the dark tunnels.

She jumped down last. "Are you new?" Ed, Jay's father asked.

"You could say that," she replied as she lead them down the tunnel. Sooner or later she would have to head back to the surface to wait for the others. "Wait here," she instructed.

As she ran further down the tunnel and used another grate to escape. She looked around nothing. She leaped on top of the nearest building and left her arms begin to shake in fear. The Overlord had changed again and looked dragon like. If the others didn't get here soon there may be nothing left to save. She watched with a single blast of his power, the Overlord got rid of her tornado. She scowled, she was slowly feeling the defeat overwhelm her. That was one of her strongest attacks and the Overlord got rid of it like it was nothing. She looked towards the ocean, "hurry up," she whispered. She then created a strong breeze that blew towards her from the ocean, if the bounty found the current they would be able to move faster.

But the bounty was in pieces. Despair began to set in and it made her legs felt weak. She had evacuated as many people as possible now all she needed to do was wait for the others.
