(y/n) was restless. She tossed and turned in her bed, but sleep wouldn't come to her. It had been months since the battle with Morro and the cursed realm. She still felt indifferent. It wasn't just that. Lloyd didn't look old in the ice that showed them a glimpse of the future. She didn't know what was going to happen but there would come a day that would be her last. She knew it would be soon. She blinked back a tear, she felt at a loss, no matter how many times she defied fate, it had always come back to smack her around the head. It made her scared to sleep, she was scared that she wouldn't wake up.

She pulled herself out of bed as she heard a clutter come from the kitchen. She pulled herself out of bed. She rubbed her eyes as she switched the lights one, Lloyd was wiping up water he spilt on the floor. "You know Ninja are meant to be stealthy right?" (y/n) teased as she leaned against the door frame.

Lloyd rubbed the back of his head as he picked up the fallen glass from the ground. (y/n) frowned as she noticed the dark circles under his eyes. "You, okay?" she asked. Lloyd sighed deeply.

"Just a lot on my mind," he answered, "Did I wake you?"

"Nah, I couldn't sleep."

"Me neither anyway how's your-"

"If you say one thing about my shoulder, I'll dislocate yours, so you have something else to worry about," she playfully threatened. Lloyd chucked. He noticed that the hostility that had been prominent in the battle with Morro had faded. But she didn't seem like herself, Lloyd knew something was up, she wasn't telling him something and that something was making her restless.

"Want to go sit on the couch?" Lloyd asked. (y/n) nodded as she sat at his side. She leaned on his shoulder and Lloyd wrapped an arm around her waist. This felt good, they both needed this. "Something is up (y/n), something you're not telling me," Lloyd pried.

He felt (y/n) stiffen. "It's nothing Morro got into my head a bit and it's taking me awhile to shake it," (y/n) replied.

Lloyd definitely knew something was up. He knew that since Morro was gone, she had almost gone back to being herself. But it was like a grey cloud hung over her. It made Lloyd worry because it took a lot to rattle (y/n) and for her to admit something had shaken her... Lloyd knew it was something serious. He pulled her into his arms and (y/n) laid her head on his chest, wrapping her arms around his waist. (y/n) kissed his cheek. "What would you do if I wasn't there tomorrow?" (y/n) whispered.

The question made Lloyd freeze and tighten his arms around (y/n). "I won't let that happen," he replied. "I can't let that happen." He knew exactly what would happen. Whenever she wasn't around, in trouble or otherwise. Lloyd had this sensation of loss and longing that he could never escape. He knew that it would overwhelm him. He was glad that this was a theoretical question. He hoped it was at least. They said nothing more. Lloyd felt his eyes begin to sink. (y/n) was already fast asleep, he smiled as he joined her. He knew that there would be backlash if the boys spotted him like this.

Misako of course woke up early and happily took a photo of the two.

Lloyd expected (y/n) to be in his arms when he woke up. He noticed that the sun had already risen and knew that she would have been up at dawn. He looked around and breathed a sigh of relief no one was up yet.

He returned to his room and changed into his gi and stepped outside. The wind blew tranquilly around (y/n) as she practiced forms... with Nya. Wind and water circled around them gracefully, their eyes shut as they focused on controlling their elemental power. He smiled he and the others have been treating themselves to sleeping in, (y/n) and Nya acted as if they couldn't afford that privilege and had come out to train. "Morning LLoyd," (y/n) greeted as she and Nya changed direction. (y/n) hadn't even opened her eyes and knew that he was there.
