Sasaki-sensei [Haise x Reader]

Part 7: Fish food

I was waken up by a gentle nudge on my arm. I opened my eyes, trying to focus and remember where I was. Ah right, in the bus. School trip. Haise... I was sitting next to Haise!

I quickly looked to my right. There he was, looking amused. "Sorry to interrupt your sleep, but we've arrived," he said.

I had been dozing off while leaning my head on his shoulder. This might be a fluffy romantic thing in fiction but for me, I could only hope that I wasn't drooling because sometimes I did that when I was asleep!

I quickly looked away from him, feeling my face with my hands - checking if I had sleep in my eyes or trails of drool near my lips.

Safe.

Relieved, I finally got up and apologized to Haise for falling asleep on him. He tilted his head and grinned, "No worries, it's cute."

I hid my blushing face and rushed to get off the bus.

The schedule today was to have lunch at the hotel we're staying, then go to a nearby historical place (which was a series of local temples). We're allowed to rest for an hour or so before gathering for lunch. The final year students were happy to explore the hotel, taking pictures and having fun. I felt a bit jealous, wanting to be a student again...

My room was on the ground floor, luckily it had a door to the back garden. There's even a little koi pond in the garden. I noticed that there were several other rooms with this access to the beautiful opening. I heard voices of other teachers coming from some of the rooms. They must have set it up so that the staff got to have these nice rooms.

I wondered where Haise's room was...

I walked to the fish pond and crouched to have a better look at the colourful koi's. They gathered close to me, expecting food.

"Sensei, do you want some fish food?" someone was standing behind me. I jumped and turned around only to see an annoyingly familiar face.

"Sougo! What are you doing here?"

"School trip." I just remembered that he's a third year student too.

"I know! But you just appeared out of nowhere and offered fish food like a mysterious fish food seller."

"I climbed over that little fence there," he pointed at a small pathway out of the garden.

"Are you supposed to do that? Where does the pathway lead to?"

"Outside," he was too lazy to explain. "We can go to a gift shop at the hotel lobby and get some fish food."

"You're too excited about the fish," I said, but I followed him anyway. I wanted to feed these koi's too. Their mouths were massive.

"Oh by the way!" I smacked him on the head, "You told me to bring my uniform and to dress formal! People were laughing!"

Sougo laughed a bit too happily. "Well you're like a school nurse, you need to keep it up and fulfil school boys' fantasy."

"And act sexy to these underaged kids? That would be a criminal offence."

"Some of us are of age."

"Don't look so serious when saying that, it's creepy."

"You talk like you're such an adult. You're just like three years older than me," he sneered, "and mentally you're much younger than me."

"I think the right words are: mentally you are much older than me. You weirdo."

Sougo stopped his step and leaned his left hand on the wall, trapping me between it and his body (the so-called 'kabe-don'!). He wore a serious expression, which made him look more mature and handsome. His face was getting closer to mine...

"What are you guys doing in a hotel lobby," Ginpachi-sensei's voice startled us. "Go get a room."

"Sensei, you misunderstood!" I exclaimed. "This brat is just pranking around like usual. Besides, you should say something like: student-teacher relationships are not allowed!"

"You're not even my teacher," said Sougo as he walked away. "I'm hungry now, I'm going to the dining room."

"Wait, what about the fish food?"

"Get it yourself. I don't feel like it now." He left.

'That stupid kid always does whatever he likes!' I muttered to myself while going inside the gift shop to get some fish pellets.

At lunchtime, all the trip participants were gathered in the dining room. It's a buffet type service, so people could get their food and sit on round tables to eat.

I bet all of us had been in a situation where we tried to find our crush in a crowded place like this. I was no different...

Few tables away, I spotted Haise sitting in a table with several other teachers. He had a plate filled with a small burger and some fries. He's eating a chunk of fries real slow; it looked like the person next to him teased him about it. Haise gave a weak smile.

I rushed to his table.

"Excuse me, Sasaki-sensei?" I purposedly talked clearer to get some of the teachers' attention. Haise looked surprised at my calling, "Yes?"

"Will you please come help me with something? I need a certain medicine for a student, and I couldn't find it." That's a load of bullcrap, no one needed any medicine. But I could use this excuse since we're both in the health committee.

"Oh, sure, I'll help you right away," Haise stood from his chair.

"I'll wrap your food for you then, so you could enjoy it later," Ginpachi-sensei appeared out of nowhere again. "And your dessert too, of course." He winked at Haise.

"Thank you," Haise winked back at him.

What the hell? I was the one with the initiative to save Haise from eating human food and this permhead Ginpachi was the one who get to play wink-wink with him??

A/N: There will be more fluff coming, but for now... Haise needs to vomit out the fries he ate *lol* (i'm sorry, please ignore this information...)
