As promised, Haise came to find me after the last period ended.
I quickly checked if anyone was watching us; when it's safe, I dragged my boyfriend inside the room and locked the door.
"W-what's happening?" Haise sounded like a little rabbit trapped in a lion's den.
"Sshh, lower your voice, in case someone's observing us," I whispered.
"I don't know why we would be observed," Haise spoke in softer tone, "but I would know if someone did."
Oh yes, he's used to this kind of business. Being aware of enemies' presence should already be natural for him.
"I suppose I'm safe from bullies when you're around," I mumbled. "But we don't know what tactics they used yet..."
"What are you talking about? Did someone bother you?"
So I tried to explain about Haise's super hardcore (matchmaking) fanclub.
He laughed.
"It must not be true. Beside, I don't have any fans!"
This dork doesn't even realize that he's hot! Is he even real.
"Whether you acknowledge it or not, you've been helping students getting into a relationship, Haise."
"Aren't they too young to date though?"
This dork...!! Not everyone is a pure boy like you!
"I think it's normal for high school students to start feeling attracted to others and want to date," I stated, although I myself wasn't particularly popular at school.
"But what about studying?"
I covered my eyes with my palms. It's like explaining the types of kagune to a piece of tissue paper.
"That doesn't matter now," I led us back to the topic. "I think maybe we shouldn't tell anyone at school that we're dating?"
"No way," Haise pulled a cute expression, like a kid protesting when they're not allowed an ice cream.
"But..." I was half worried and half swooned by his act.
"I'm fine with not broadcasting around that we're a couple, but I won't deny when someone ask. And I'll definitely won't keep a distance from you."
His words took me over the moon. It made me feel that he's just as proud of dating me as I was of dating him.
"Unless you really don't want to..." Haise added, but his previous determination was switched to sadness.
I would rather take on any assassin barehanded than seeing this precious baby sad.
"No, you're right," I grinned. "I was being childish believing that kind of rumor. It's not like I'll ever date anyone else."
Haise gave me a very big smile for this. I told myself that I'd do anything to keep him happy. In another universe, life could be a tragedy. But not here. Not on my watch.
"Let's go then," Haise held my hand and led me out of the room.
Holding hands...? I wasn't aware that I've unlocked this level!
The school pupils had dispersed at this time, but there were still quite a lot around. Some of them were surprised to see us walking together hand-in-hand. Some girls even commented directly, "Nooo, Sensei are the two of you dating?" Meanwhile the guys were like, "Sure nice to be you, Sasaki-sensei."
