(A/N: Possible trigger warning, mentions of Anxiety attack).

*PHILS POV*

My eyes flutter open and I stare out the window as the blinding but beautiful sunlight shines through.

I stand up, and take a look at the clock.

10:02am

We don't start classes until tomorrow, but we do get our schedule's today around three to five.

I open my door and walk past Dan's room, hearing what sounds like many pencils falling then hearing Dan curse under is breath. I chuckle and continue walking to make my morning coffee.

I make some coffee along with a bowl of cereal and sit on the floor next to the window.

We really need to get some furniture, my butt cannot take this hard wood floor.

-

I finish my cereal and coffee so I decide to call my friend who got accepted into a different college.

Ring, ring, ring, ring... Ring.. Ring...

"C'mon.." I mumble to myself.

"Phil, hey!" He chimed, making me smile.

"Hey Chris! How's college?"

"Awesome, oh my gosh, my roommate is amazing. We have lots in common." I'm happy for Chris but I couldn't help to feel a little jealous that he made another friend.

"Aw! What's their name?"

"His names PJ, he is really awesome and we're going out for coffee later." I knew he was smiling.

"I'm so happy for you! My roommate is pretty cool too, but last ni-" Dan walked into the room right when I was going to mention his weird behavior. "Yeah he's pretty cool." I said awkwardly, not wanting to offend Dan by talking about him to my friend.

"Oh cool. What's his name?" Chris asked on the other line.

"His names Dan." Dan smiled at me from the mention of his name.

"Well, I've gotta go, I'll talk to you later Chris." And with that I hung up before he could reply.
I wanted to get to know more about Dan and why he acted so weird last night.

"Good morning Dan." I smiled. "Hey..." His voice was hoarse and tired. Had he possible been crying? No, no I can't jump to conclusions.

"How'd you sleep?" Dan asked, standing over the counter with his elbows also on the counter, hands together.

"Pretty good I guess, but I wanted to ask you, what was up with you last night? Did I like... Say something that upset you?" He looked afraid of the words that were coming from my mouth. "I just need my alone time... I g-guess..." He was lying right through his teeth, I could tell.

I tried to brush it off all day but I was just too worried, but I don't entirely understand why.

-

Later that day we went to the office to get our schedules and grabbed a coffee at the local Starbucks and headed home.

It was getting dark quickly and Dan started occasionally looking behind him, as if someone or something was following him.

"Dan you alright?" I patted his back and he gasped and jumped slightly. "Yeah, of course. Why wouldn't I be?" He laughed awkwardly, his breath getting slightly heavier.
I shrugged and we continued walking.

"A-are we almost home, we need to be home." Dan asked. "Uh.. I think so. Why is there something wrong?" I asked as casual as possible. Maybe a bit too casual.

"I-I.. I n-need to sit down for a s-second." He dropped his coffee and ran to a fountain and took a seat, I followed after him, sitting next to him.

He took slow deep breaths and let them out after about five seconds each time.

"Dan.. Are you o-" he cut me off.

"Please stop asking me that, no, no I'm not okay. I'm having a anxiety attack." He pretty much yelled and we got some weird looks and points.

"Do you need any help?" I asked, putting a hand on his back.

"L-lets go home." He mumbled and started walking quickly away from me.

I finally caught up to him and we arrived to the dorm.

I unlocked the door and Dan flew in as fast as sonic into his room, not bothering to close the door, I assume because of his lack of air.

I'm so worried, I don't know what to do in these situations. I feel useless.

I sat with my back against the wall, arms crossed and legs brought to my chest.

I heard a quiet sob come from Dan's room and a muffled voice.

I can hardly make out what he's saying.

"Please come pick me up." Is all I heard.

Then nothing.

Then, "please I'm scared mum."

Then nothing for about 20 seconds.

Then I heard a scream that echoed through the still empty dorm. "PLEASE!!!" I jumped at the sound and sat up, putting my hands on the floor beside me.

"Please mum, no! No mum please don't go, please come get me!" Dan sobbed loudly.

I ran into his room and he hung up the phone right when I entered. He glanced at me and looked away almost right after and threw his phone on his bed.

"Dan..." I said and walked closer to him as he backed away into the corner.

"D-don't come near me." He gasped.

Obviously something's bothering him to make he be so terrified.

"Dan, I'm not going to hurt you, just tell me what's on your mind." I sat in front of him as he looked at me with complete fear but that soon subsided and he leaped into my arms.

He wrapped his arms around the back of my neck and nuzzled into it. I wrapped my arms around his waist and brought him close.

"It's okay Dan." I whispered into his ear.

"No it's not." He cried softly wetting the back of my shirt, but I didn't care. I just wanted to be like this forever.
