"His could you do that...I trusted you Wei Ying, right now I can't even call your name. Did you think I wouldn't know...?did you think you could play me like a puppet...? Just let me go...leave me alone."

"Please Lan Zhan..please listen to me, I didn't do it on purpose...it just happened...I don't know how or why I did that... please...please forgive me this once...I will never absorb resentful energy again, please.. believe me... Lan Zhan.."

"How did it feel...?huh...?how was it...? I bet it was better than us. I hope you are happy now, I have always sensed the hesitation in everything you did. You told me after a long time that you loved me, you even stopped sleeping with and started avoiding me... For what...for this...? You know what Wei Ying...you can have it...you can have it all...I'm done"

"Lan Zhan... please...(loud sobs continue)"

"No Wei Ying...I will break our bond so you can be free of me and I of you. You should take the pain...because you started it. I don't even want to see your face anymore. Please....leave...leave Gusu and never return. To me...you're dead.!"

"Lan Zhan...Lan Zhan please I'm begging you....Lan Zhan.... please don't leave me...please...Lan Zhannnn...!!!"( Crying continued)

"Lan Zhan...(sobs) Lan Zhan...I'm sorry..."

It had been a month since Lan Zhan and Wei Ying returned from Lotus Cove, and Wei Ying was still unconscious from the day he collapsed after absorbing resentful energy from Wen Rouhan. Lan Zhan had to feed him herbs and sponge bath him, taking care of him without even leaving his sight. Lan Xichen had to come many times to force Lan Zhan into eating something which he always refused until his brother had told him that he had to be strong for Wei Ying. He was so devastated, it felt like he had indeed lost Wei Ying, just like in his dream when Wei Ying died and he followed after.

The fear crept in his mind time and time again, thinking if something bad was to happen to Wei Ying...what would he do. He sat on the bed and held his hand, hoping and praying for him to wake up. Wei Ying was another realm where Lan Zhan couldn't even follow, he was constantly blocked everytime he tried to tap into his mind to transport his spiritual self there so he could help Wei Ying in whatever hardships he was going through. It became apparent to Lan Zhan that wherever he was...he was facing pain and there was nothing he could do to help him. The resentful energy created a little corner for just the two of them...Wei Ying and the embodiment of the resentful energy.

Yes...it had taken a form of a dog, Wei Ying's greatest fear and other human form, and tortured him with it every single second and this making him feel like he was in hell. Lan Zhan transfered some of his spiritual energy to him and after about thirty minutes of doing so, he felt drained. He went to the bathroom and took a bath to refresh himself and went on to eat the food that his brother personally brought so he could eat. His emotions left him, he couldn't feel pain... joy...anger or any other thing connected to his emotions. The distance he was from Wei Ying was too great for him to reach.

But one thing he knew was that he would never give up on him, after having lunch he went to check on him again and then fixed the quilt over his waist and went to meditate. He was very tired and even though he was worried, his exhaustion made it easy for him to concentrate. He just closed his eyes and he went in too deep, his mind relaxed and after two hours he was done. He took deep breaths and he placed both his hands on Wangji' who was right infront of him on the table. Wangji turned blue and waited for his master's command, and Lan Zhan didn't dissapoint.
