MARIE
During lunchtime, we had lunch at Wendy's. I've never been to Wendy's in Japan so it was quite the experience. It almost felt like I was in a different kind of restaurant. Don't get me wrong, I've been to many Wendy's in Texas, and this one certainly felt different. I didn't think that Wendy's would ever serve Italian food in Japan, but that's not what I got. Instead, I got the spicy chicken fillet burger with french fries and vanilla frosty. Don't get me wrong, chocolate was my absolute favorite, but I decided not to get chocolate because I had Khloe with me. We sat down beside Vincent, Kyrie, and Daeshim. "Mmm," Vincent let out as he ate his spicy chicken fillet burger. "How's your spicy chicken sandwich?" I nodded. "Good," I answered right before I got a double burger with no veggies on it out of the wrapper and gave it to Khloe.
She took the double burger out of my hands and ate half of it. "If you eat too much bread," I began to tell Khloe. "Christy will get pretty mad at me." I looked at Kyrie as I sat up in my seat. "How much bread has Khloe had today?" she asked. "She had one kolache and now she's eating a burger with the bun on it," I answered. "She refused to eat the kolache without the bread." "Wow," Kyrie let out. "That dog's probably gonna get constipated soon." "And like I said before, Christy will be pretty angry if something like that happens," I reminded her. "Though she's okay with me feeding Khloe a full burger if it doesn't have any vegetables on it." I looked at Daeshim and decided to get into a conversation with him. "So, Daeshim," I began. "Hmm?" Daeshim asked. "Who's Deku's date?" I asked. Daeshim then turned and I followed his gaze only to find Deku with the same girl that he was with at another table eating pasta.
We both looked back at each other. "Oh, that's Chalita," Daeshim answered. "She's from Vietnam. I'd say that she and Deku don't have a whole lot of chemistry together in my opinion, but if it's meant to be...then whatever." Daeshim then picked up one of his fries and dipped them into ketchup before placing it into his mouth. "I have the feeling that Chalita wants something that's not in Deku," he told us. I backed my head in disgust as what Daeshim did reminded me of Ryuzaki. A lot of times while he was eating, Ryuzaki would talk while eating his food and I didn't like that. Not because it was gross, but because he would probably choke. Even though Ryuzaki told me many times that it was alright, I still worry about him even though he's still a jerk. I don't know Light was thinking of having us kiss each other on the lips. If I had known how much of a petty jerk he was, then I would have bit his tongue if he ever dared to put it in my mouth.
Daeshim looked at me with a confused look on his face. "What?" he asked. I didn't respond to his question. "Marie, why are you looking at me like that?" Daeshim asked. "Yeah," Kyrie agreed. "Why are you looking at my date like that?" I sighed and shook my head. "It's nothing," I answered. "Sorry." "It's okay," Daeshim assured me. "I didn't mean to gross you out if you felt uncomfortable with me chewing with my mouth open." "No, no, no, you're not the problem," I told him. "It's me." I breathed deeply through my nose. It's that jerk who calls himself L. Lawliet. Why did I ever think it'd be great to ever get to know him? Ugh! Never meet your hero...especially if he's a superdetective who wanted to catch Kira. I thought to myself. "Hey," I heard a familiar voice call out. I looked to my left and saw Sam. "What's the 411 here?" Sam asked.
Kyrie rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Oh no, not again!" she mumbled under her breath. "Nothing that'll interest you, Sam," Vincent answered in an annoyed tone. "And also...what's with "411"? I mean, we're not like we're in the 90s anymore, Sam. I mean, what is this? 1999?" "You're right," Sam agreed. "Sorry about that." Vincent scoffed. "Sure, whatever," he said with a bad attitude. "What do you want?" "Yeah, what is it this time, Sam?" Kyrie asked. "Are you hear to brag about how pretty you and Sephiroth are?" Sam chuckled and shook his head. "You wish, but no," he answered. "I want to talk to Marie." Vincent and Kyrie seemed to be puzzled after they heard Sam say that. Well, from what I can remember, that is. I then felt Vincent lock his eyes on me.
