I was busy putting on some lipstick as I prepared myself for the school play. Once I was finished, I heard someone step into the room. I gasped and turned around to see who it was. "Woah," Ryuzaki let out. "Calm down. It's just me." I sighed. "Are you still mad at us for buying all the chicken and waffles?" Ryuzaki asked before he sat down on my bed. I slowly shook my head. "No," I answered. "I'm not mad. Just...overwhelmed with all the amount of money it costs." Ryuzaki looked at me as if he knew that I wasn't telling the truth. "Be honest," he said to me. "Ugh!" I growled. "Fine, of course, I'm mad. Christy is suspicious about Khloe smelling like syrup all of the time. Did you even consider how much money that costs? It was eighty American dollars just for that amount of chicken and waffles!" Ryuzaki placed his hands up as if I had a gun at him. "Okay, okay!" he said out loud. "I'm sorry for paying that much money just for chicken and waffles! Light and I were just hungry."
"Ugh," I let out. "You couldn't have thought of something cheaper? Like Burger King?" Ryuzaki placed his hand on his forehead. "What about McDonald's?" I asked. "You could have gotten a lot of food half of the price of those..." "I'm sorry!" Ryuzaki boasted. "It won't happen again! Light and I feel terrible about buying so much food." I sighed in relief after Ryuzaki said that. "Thanks," I told him. "Don't mention it," Ryuzaki replied. "And by the way, are you by any chance in love with Near?" I made a confused look on his face. "What?" I asked. "No. Not at all. We're just friends. And besides, can't you imagine if he started having feelings for me moments before he learns I'm Kira? That'll break his heart. And what if he finds out about Light? He may think that we're secret lovers or something." Ryuzaki placed his finger up to his mouth. "And what if something happens to me?" he asked. "Aren't you scared of that?"
I sighed and placed my hands on Ryuzaki's shoulders. "Even if Near finds out the truth, I will never find out what is going on between us," I answered. "If I told him, he'd think I'm crazy." Ryuzaki moved my hands from his shoulders. "Ew, Marie," he commented. "That's gross," I smirked and let out a faint chuckle. "I don't have romantic feelings for anybody," I confessed to Ryuzaki. He stayed silent for a little bit. "When you say it like that, it sounds like you're lying," he informed me. I scoffed and let go of Ryuzaki. "Don't intimidate me," I said to him. Ryuzaki placed his hands up again. "I don't want to," he said to me. "Seriously, I wouldn't dream of it." I smiled after Ryuzaki said that and laughed. "I'm just kidding," I told Ryuzaki. I watched as Ryuzaki placed his hands down and heard him let out a sigh of relief. After he did that, I left the room.

I arrived at the Tokyo Hippodrome in my sparkling black dress and matching high-heeled shoes. I felt like a celebrity as I walked to the door and saw a man open it for me. "Welcome, Miss," the guy greeted me. "Thank you," I told the guy as I walked inside. I was in awe once I saw what was inside the Hippodrome. It reminded me of the Waco Hippodrome, only except it looked fancier. I couldn't believe that Mr. Mikami would have the school play here. I always knew he was rich, but I never would have expected that he'd do something like this. Man, this doesn't even feel like a Hippodrome. It feels more like a party place for rich people...a fun party, that is. I thought to myself. I walked to the front and was greeted by one of the theatre workers. "Konbawa," she greeted me. "What are you here for tonight?" "The Cinderella play performed by Kanto Region American High School please," I answered. "Sure thing," the worker told me before she gave me my ticket. I was confused by that. "Wait, don't I have to pay you first?" I asked. The worker shook her head. "Nope," she answered. "All teachers, staff members, and students at Kanto Region American High School get in for free after what happened."
