FEBRUARY 14, 2006 (VALENTINE'S DAY)
TOKYO, JAPAN
AT 3:45 PM
L (RYUZAKI)
I sat there on the couch watching Scream with Light, Dean, and Khloe. "Can someone tell me why in the world would Billy say that The Exorcist got him thinking of Sidney? It's got no romance, no high schoolers in love, no teen interests whatsoever." I asked Light. I heard Light walking up to the couch with a big bowl of food in his hands. "Probably because he's a bad boyfriend and turned out to be one of the killers near the end of the movie," Light answered. "After watching that movie for the first time, yeah, Billy was nowhere near a perfect boyfriend for Sidney." I placed my finger up to my mouth. "Hmm," I let out. "Couldn't picture her with Randy either. I'm sad that he died in the second one, but I loved the plot twist with Billy's mother, Mrs. Loomis as the main killer at the end." "Huh," I heard Light let out. "Anyway, do you mind if I change the movie?" I shook my head. "No," I answered. I heard Light press a button on the remote and the movie changed from Scream to John Carpenter's Halloween.
I glared at the TV when I continued to watch the movie. "Seriously?" I asked Light. "Why are we watching Halloween on Valentine's Day?" "Why do you care?" Light asked. "You're the one that told me I could change the movie. And besides, I just want to watch one little scene before I change it back to Scream." I turned and picked up a chocolate truffle before I turned my direction to the TV. When I did, my eyes widened once I saw that the sex scene was on. You gotta be kidding me. I thought to myself. I turned around and looked at Light. "Seriously, Light?" I asked. "How is Misa going to react when she finds out you only watch horror movies because of the sex scenes?" "Shh," Light shushed me. "Now turn around. Here comes the best part." I turned back around and looked at the TV. I saw the girl with the blanket over her body. "Check out this girl's beautiful bare boobs," Light said out loud. I quickly closed my eyes and covered them with my left hand. "Oh yeah," Light continued. "Mmm. If I had a special somebody right now, I would wanna lick those babies up."
I couldn't believe Light's immature behavior right now. "Looks yummier than Pringle's pizza chips!" he continued. "Woo!!!" I sighed. "I really hope that Misa rams a helicopter right down your throat, Light," I mumbled under my breath. "Sometimes, you can be so disgusting." I heard Light squeal before giggling like a girl excited to see the Backstreet Boys.
AROUND THE SAME TIME
MARIE
I was busy walking down the street back home hoping that Light and Ryuzaki weren't causing any mischief. From the get-go, I really regretted not riding my bike to work. However, I was able to take the bus thanks to Ms. Seraphim, so I really shouldn't complain about that. However, I really wish that Christy was able to come home and not go back to the studio so that I would feel safer. Maybe I should ask Light to come with me to work from now on. I thought to myself. (Hopefully, he wasn't still mad at me.) "Huh?" I asked when I noticed that something didn't feel right again. I turned to the left and saw a woman with auburn hair in the same attire as that woman from McDonald's walking down the sidewalk. Things didn't sit right with me. Ever since I walked into McDonald's, it felt like that woman was following me.
Despite that, the woman seemed very familiar. I had no idea what it was, but she looked very familiar in the face. I thought that she would have looked like Misa if her hair was blonde instead of auburn. However, I didn't think that this could have been Misa. If it was, then why would she be following me after all that happened? Why would she let me go just to spy on me or follow me around wherever I go? What was the whole point of letting me go if she was just going to do this? That just didn't make any sense. I sighed and placed my hood over my head hoping that she would just leave me alone.
