LIGHT
I was in the living room with Ryuzaki as I was playing a song on the guitar in honor of the people that died when the building collapsed.
"But the Colorado Rocky Moutain High
I've seen it raining fire in the sky"
"Uh, Light," I heard Ryuzaki say. "I really don't think it's a great idea to be singing that song right now." I stopped playing the guitar and looked at Ryuzaki. "Huh? Why not, Ryuzaki?" I asked. Ryuzaki placed his finger up to his lip and sighed. "Well, it's on Final Destination," he answered. "So?" I asked. "And it's the song that you hear right when the plane blows up," Ryuzaki answered. I held my arm up with the pick still in my right hand. "And?" I asked. "Plus, it's the song you hear when Tod, Ms. Lewton, and Carter die," Ryuzaki answered. "And believe me, at my funeral, that's the last song I want them to be playing." I shrugged. "Would you rather have me singing something that could be offensive to the people that lost their loved ones like"Highway to Hell" by AC/DC?" I asked. Ryuzaki's eyes widened and he shook his head as he removed his thumb from his mouth. "Oh no," he said. "Don't do that."
"You know he's right," I heard someone say. I turned and looked at Alex who was sitting on the floor. "Honestly, I'd be pretty disturbed if they played Rocky Moutain High at my funeral," he continued. "And what kind of problem would that cause?" I asked. "Please, I've been to funerals before and they played this song at a few that I've been to." "Huh," I heard Ryuzaki let out as he walked in the same direction where Alex was. "Was this before Final Destination came out?" I slowly nodded. "Yes," I answered. "I haven't heard it at many funerals after that movie came out." "And when I die, Light," Ryuzaki began. "I guess you can play "Wherever You Will Go" by The Calling." I chuckled since I knew that Ryuzaki was already dead, but of course, he didn't know that. "What's so funny?" Ryuzaki asked as he placed his hands on his hips. I shook my head. "Nothing," I answered. "It's a great song, but I wouldn't have minded if they played "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver at my funeral." I shook my head since I knew that they didn't play "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver at my funeral. "But they didn't," I continued as I shook my head.
"Oh?" Ryuzaki asked. "What did they play then?" I sighed and lowered my head. "Tears in Heaven," I answered. "Eric Clapton?" Ryuzaki asked. I nodded and didn't say anything. "Better that than "Rocky Moutain High"," he added. "Too bad I was in the hospital for ten days and I missed Watari's funeral, but at least seeing his spirit before he passed on to who knows where makes me feel more at peace." I began to think about what Ryuzaki just said. Hold up! Do you mean he got to see Watari before he passed on to the other side? No, that can't be! It has to be false memories injected into his mind. But wait! Maybe that could be something that actually happened. Maybe he was brought into the hospital by some other phantoms that were or are still here. I thought to myself.
Just then, we heard the door handle jiggle...
MARIE
I unlocked the door and stepped inside with Khloe. "Hey guys," I asked as I closed the door. "Did I miss anything?" I saw Ryuzaki shaking his head. "Oh no," he answered. "You're not missing anything. Anyway, how was the vigil? I thought I saw your face on TV." I chuckled. "It was good," I answered. "Very sad though since there are more people who still died. I talked to my friends and we got some pizza." "That's good," Light told me. "Ryuzaki ate some cakes and I ate an onigiri." "Well," I began. "I brought home a box of hamburger pizza just in case you were hungry." "Sure, I'm down for pizza," Ryuzaki said. "And some more cake." "I guess I'll have some too," Light agreed. I chuckled. "Alright then," I told them. "Let's heat up some pizza."
