AROUND 6:30 AM

                                                                           MARIE

I sat up in my bed, screaming from the nightmare I had. "Ahhh!" I heard Light scream.

I huffed and breathed, shakingly. "Well, what's the hell's wrong with you?" I heard Light ask.

I turned to look at him, doing my best not to show any emotion. "Light," I said softly. "I saw it."

Light made a confused look on his face. "Saw what?" he asked.

Tears began to form in my eyes, knowing I was stuck in this sick cycle. "You're not about to cry, are you?" Light asked. "I don't think I can handle that right now."

I tried to hold back my tears, but my emotions got the better of me. "Marie, what's wrong?" Light asked. "Why are you crying?"

"I can't go to school today," I sobbed. "I can't."

That's when Light did something unexpected. He walked to my bed and sat right next to me. "Hey," Light said. "No tears."

Light got a tissue out of the box and dried my tears. "Do you wanna tell me about your nightmare?" he asked.

I dried a tear that fell from my right eye before sniffling. "Light, I know this is gonna sound like something straight out of Groundhog Day and Final Destination," I began. "But I know what's going to happen today."

Light just sat there, not knowing what to say. "I'm going to go to school today, and I won't be coming back," I continued. "The school is gonna collapse. Everyone's gonna die. Mei, Jirou, Daeshim, Deku, Sam, Sky, Mr. Mikami, everyone."

Light sat there speechlessly before chuckling. "You're joking," he commented. I looked at Light with daggers in my eyes. He stopped smiling and widened his eyes. "Oh," he let out. "You're serious." A brief pause took place. "Did you watch Final Destination at all recently?"

I shook my head. "No," I answered. "No, I didn't. Neither did I watch Groundhog Day. I already lived through this morning twice, and this time I'm not going to school."

I expected Light to say that was a good idea. Instead, he glared at me. "And you're going to leave your teachers and classmates to die in the school?" Light asked.

"No!" I exclaimed. "I don't want to, but what choice do I have? If I go into the school, I might not come back alive!"

Light held his hand up. "Do you even know what time it was when the school collapsed?" he asked.

I sniffled. "I think...eight something," I answered. "It was almost nine o'clock, I think." I started to realize something. "Wait," I looked at Light. "What time is it now?"

Light held up his watch and revealed to me it was a little past six-thirty. "You have almost two hours," he informed me. "I wouldn't go back to sleep."

I uncovered myself and got out of bed. "I should get ready now," I said. I rushed to my closet, got a black long-sleeve shirt from Hollister, and some black jeans.

"Light, get out of the room," I commanded.

AROUND 8:20 AM

I ran through the hallway until I finally reached the science lab.
