EVENING

                                                                                   MARIE

I was happy that everything turned out to be okay. Mr. Mikami and I had lunch undisturbed after I killed Pablo with the Death Note. I haven't heard from Near, but I assumed that he was okay since no news is good news sometimes. Even though Near would hate the fact that I'm Kira, I still wanted to protect him from evil because he was my friend. "Are you okay?" I heard Ryuzaki ask. I stopped washing the dishes and looked at him. "What do you mean?" I asked. "You were asking Light for help at Wendy's, Ryuzaki answered. I nodded. "Yeah," I answered. "I'm okay. I was being harassed by a creep, but I killed him." I looked for Light. "Where's Light?" I asked. "In the bathroom," Ryuzaki answered. "He made a whole load of beef fajita tacos for linner." I made a confused look on my face. "Linner?" I asked. "Lunch and dinner," Ryuzaki answered. "You've seen Seinfeld, right?"

I nodded. "Yes," I answered. "Jerry Seinfeld falls in love with a woman who's just like him in the 24th episode of the seventh season known as The Invitations. It's a shame that it's the same episode that Susan died." Ryuzaki made a confused look on his face. "Susan?" he asked. "George's fiancee," I answered. Ryuzaki realized who I was talking about. "Oh, her," he let out. "Yeah, I feel bad for her. Poor Susan. Her death wasn't that sad though." "I know right?" I asked. "Seinfeld doesn't have any emotional moments, but it's still a good show." I chuckled. "It's one of the funniest TV shows of all time," I commented. "That and Friends." Ryuzaki shrugged. "Eh," he let out. "Friends is just okay. Seinfeld's better." I laughed. "Yes," I agreed with Ryuzaki. "It's funnier too." I placed the dishes in the dishwasher. "What should I fix for dinner?" I asked. "Do we have any cake in the fridge?" Ryuzaki scratched his head. "I don't know," he answered. "I'll look. We have some cake mix though. Not red velvet though because I threw them all out.

I sighed knowing that Ryuzaki had purposely thrown them all out. I decided to help him look for any cake mix within the house. "Aha!" I heard Ryuzaki let out. "I found a vanilla cake!" I turned around and looked at Ryuzaki. I held up an okay sign with my right hand. After that, I walked to the living room. "Where are you going?" Ryuzaki asked. I turned around and looked at Ryuzaki. "I'm gonna watch TV," I answered. "What on the TV?" Ryuzaki asked as he came to the living room. I shrugged. "I don't know," I answered. "Maybe something good's on. Anyway, what's going on with, Light?" Ryuzaki shrugged. "I don't know," he answered. "You two are like cake and strawberries. Perfect together." I made an awkward look on my face. "Okay,...thanks," I croaked out. "Maybe you two have forgotten about Misa by now," Ryuzaki said out loud. I nearly fell out of the couch. "What?" I asked. "Of course not, Ryuzaki! I would never do something like that to Misa!" I stayed silent for a few seconds. "But it's not like Misa's expecting Light to show up out of nowhere," I continued.

Ryuzaki glared at me. "I'm serious," I told Ryuzaki. "I would never be in an affair with anybody! I'm not even in love with Light!" Ryuzaki nodded suspiciously. "Mmm-hmm," he let out. "That's reasonable." I watched as he opened the box, got a plastic fork out, and started eating his cake. "Do you want some?" he asked with food in his mouth. I shook my head. "No," I answered. "I'll get some ice cream after dinner." I got up and went to the kitchen to look for something I could make for dinner. As much as I wanted Light to cook, I didn't know why he was taking such a long time in the bathroom. Was he constipated? Or was he taking a bath? Either way, I didn't want to know. I would just wait for Light to come out. I didn't know what I wanted for dinner though. Even though I shouldn't have, I got into the fridge and got a tub of chocolate chip ice cream. I got a big spoon and walked back to the couch with the ice cream. Once I was on the couch, I stuffed my face with chocolate ice cream with Oreos in it.
