I had a blast at the Coldplay concert and it was the best concert I've ever been to because I am there with the person I will spend the rest of my life with.
Charles and I decided to have the civil wedding a day before we fly to Austria here in Monaco, and we picked Marck, Collette, Pierre, and Janelle since they all saw how our relationship started even before it actually started. They are the only ones who knew about the wedding.
I kept pacing back and forth at the living room of my house waiting for Charles to get me because of course that's what they said that we need to be separated before the civil wedding because there will be no religious wedding, well, yet.
This was all done in a rush because I don't know we just feel it was the right time. I looked one last time in the mirror and found myself hating what I'd picked. It's the custom-made dress from Chanel that my Aunt ordered that was supposed to be for Marcks wedding but I opted to wear a different colored one since I don't want to wear white on their day.
"Does this look like I'm pregnant, Sis?" I called out and Collette just laughed at me. It's a white corset sleeveless dress that has a square neckline. "Should I change? Do I have the time?"
"Anne, you look stunning and absolutely fine. Don't worry he'll come. Do you want me to call Marck to make sure?" she asked and I nodded.
"What if he backs out?" I mumbled as I heard Francesca laugh in the kitchen who is carrying Gio in her hands.
"Bonana, he will come. You are destined to be with each other, and I saw how you look at each other. There's no denying it." she said as I heard Collette put her phone on speakerphone.
"Where are you, Baby?" Collette asked and I heard Marck sigh on the other line.
"He's a mess, he's overthinking, he's complaining that his suit is not appropriate, and he's distressed." there and then Collette laughed and looked at me. "What happened? We are coming in about 15 minutes."
"Same here. She's doing the same thing." Collette chuckled as she walked towards me. "Can you put him on, baby?"
"Sure. Charles, It's Anne." Marck said and I heard Charles gasped.
"Anne?" I gently took the phone from Collette as I went out of the living room to the balcony.
"Bud," I whispered as I suddenly felt the peace that I yearn for since the other day when they forced me to be here at the house.
"Oh Bud, I missed you." He said as a smile crept on my lips.
"I missed you too," I whispered as I felt a tear running down my face when I stifled a sob.
"Bud, please don't cry." I heard him sigh.
"I just did. Oh God, I just can't believe we are doing this now." I chuckled as I felt the happiest I'd ever been. "We're finally gonna be husband and wife."
"I know Bud." I heard him stifle a sob too and that melted my heart then and there. "My hand is shaking right now," he chuckled as I held out mine too and I am shaking too.
"Just promise me that you will remember my name." I chuckled as I wiped the tears off of my face. "Promise me."
"Your name is the only name I can think of right now Bud." I heard him chuckle and I smiled. "We're almost there."
We both hung up after we said our, I love you's. And I just sat there on the verandah trying to calm myself down because of this overwhelming happiness that I have right now.
It feels like everything in the past is a blur now and every memory that I have with Charles is the only one highlighted. I couldn't believe that in this short period I'll finally got to call him my husband.
