Hello friends! It has once again been a while since I've posted a drawing here, for I have been in the depths of anatomy class and artist block. However, I have once again returned; this time I'm introducing my most recent (as of now) duo, Alice and Suzumi!
Honestly I've been wanting to explore the dynamic between these two more—they may have taken a while to bond, and there might've been a bit of a shaky start (especially given the initial language barrier and Suzumi's awkwardness around strangers-), but now they're basically like sisters! Still, in this picture, they're definitely kind of awkward around each other still, but one thing's for certain and that's that they were trying their best-
So fun story about this drawing: I have been wanting to draw these two for a while, and there have been many, many attempts before I was able to get the product you see here-
Why you may ask?
Well, my friends, for some reason Alice was giving me a lot of trouble, particularly her hair and face—while I could draw them pretty well individually I couldn't get them to make sense together- which isn't to say that Suzumi was a walk in the park either because her face also took plenty of attempts XD
With that said, given how many times I have had to practice being able to draw Alice's hair consistently, I am actually so heckin proud of how it turned out- same goes for Suzumi's I think it came out really pretty!!
Well I hope you enjoyed that little aside, because now, it's time for the taisho era secret!
When they're not training, the two of them can often be found having tea together and brushing up on language skills—Alice has been known to be quite adept at learning languages now due to her experience learning English and Japanese when she was younger, and Suzumi has recently added sign language to their lessons!
Anyways, thanks for reading and putting up with my semi sporadic updates—hopefully when my class finishes I can be more consistent!
