Hello my friends! I'm back with another drawing, or at least my attempt at one! :D
I knew pretty early on that I wanted to pair these two up—something about their similar themes/connection to the sea and the fact that I think their dynamic would be interesting (or at the very least, kinda funny) just made me want to see them as friends. Amaya just wants love and friendship so she gets very excited at the prospect of it—the moment someone gives her the time of day instead of avoiding her out of fear that she attracts demons basically brightens her day :D
Only thing is, Kiyomi is not only more shy and introverted compared to Amaya, but she doesn't like being approached from behind like this, so let's just say this moment was met with a less than friendly response XD
With that said, I do see them eventually learning to balance each other out and even bonding :D (and Kiyomi has some choice words for Amaya's neighbors, but that's a thing for later hehe)
Now as for the artistic process, it was honestly a mixed experience. While their facial expressions and hair didn't take as much work (I had a lot of fun with their eyes in particular), Amaya's clothes and arm/hand positions were an ENDEAVOR- I lost count of how many tiny little fixes and big redos I had to do before I was satisfied—even now I'm not sure if I am, but this is the best it'll get so let's just roll with it XD
Which isn't to say Kiyomi's clothes were a walk in the park, because for some reason, her cape didn't wanna work with me, but luckily I was able to at least resolve those issues :3
And now it's time for everyone's favorite segment, the taisho secret(s)!
One of their favorite activities to do in their down time is go visit the coastline—Amaya usually likes to go swimming while Kiyomi simply observes the waves. In fact, they can spend hours there if there isn't any pressing missions, since that's where they both feel the most at home :)
