Cheating?

One day while Colby was in the shower before bed he left his phone next to me. I didn't really take much notice till his phone went off from a text. i didn't think he would mind if i checked it so i picked up his phone to see who it was. I expected it to be Sam or Jake or something but i was wrong. 

It was a message by someone called "Ava ❤" and the message said:

Ava ❤: "Hey what are you doing right now? 😏"

When i saw this my heart broke and i thought he was immediately cheating. At that moment Colby came out of the bathroom. his hair was wet and he had a towel wrapped around his waist and he was shirtless.

I looked at him and got a pissed off look at him. Colby noticed this right away and got a concerned and confused look.

Colby: "Hey babe. what's wrong?"

"You know what's wrong"

I say to him, pissed off. Colby walks over to me and i stood up and looked at him with anger in my eyes and i have his phone in my hand.

Colby: "Hun what do you mean? What did i do? And why do you have my phone?"

"Who's Ava?!"

Colby: "She's a friend why?"

"So why is there a red heart next to her name?! WHO THE FUCK IS AVA?!" I snapped at him.

Colby: "Y/N let me explain!"

"I bet she's dying to date you and be your entire world!"

Colby: "Y/N it's not what it looks like! please let me explain!" He says getting a little frustrated.

"I'm sick and tired of faking like i didn't see your phone!"

 Colby: "She isn't any of your business anyways! She..Sh-" I cut him off.

"When i see her name and you can't explain. Who the fuck is AVA!" I shout at him and he stutters trying to talk to me and i groan.

After a few minutes i shout again. 

"Who the fuck is AVA!"

I groaned louder when he stuttered again. 

"AAAGH!" i groaned annoyed.

Colby finally finds the words.

Colby: "Y/N! She was helping me with a surprise for you!"

When he says this i freeze in my spot not knowing what to think or say. i turned and looked at him. 

"W-wait...Wh-what?" I said more quietly and no longer with anger or annoyance in my voice.

Colby: "Yea. I had a surprise i was going to have arranged for you."

I felt so upset with myself for thinking he was cheating and i sat on our bed and put my head in my hands. Colby came over to me and sat next to me.

"i'm sorry. i'm so sorry." I whispered to him and trying to hold back tears because if felt bad for yelling at him. 

Colby wrapped his arms around me and kissed my cheek. He moved my hands from my face and cupped my face in his hands. he wiped away my tears from my eyes.

Colby: "Honey it's ok i understand why you thought i was cheating but i would never do that to you. i promise."

I hugged Colby and cried into his shoulder. We laid down and cuddled for the rest of the night.
