Me and Colby broke up after being together for 3 years. We decided to stay as best friends and we truly are. We still have pet names and mess around but just not as a couple. Colby still cares deeply for me and i do for him too.
One day, i was laying on my bed, scrolling through TikTok when i found one of Colby's that i decided to watch. As i watched it, it was photos of me and him and the caption said "To my best friend..."
Then the audio started playing. It was Colby's voice.
Colby: "She loves her whole family and all of her friends, so if you're the one she lets in. Take it. If she gives you her heart, don't you break it. Let your arms be a place she feels safe in. She's the best thing that you'll ever have."
By the end i was teared up and called Colby. He came over and the second he came in, he ran to me and hugged me tight. He whispered to me.
Colby: "I love you bestie. Even if we can't be together."
