Annabelle
I couldn't stop thinking about Jeremy. I didn't know why he was constantly running through my mind, after all, he was just Elena's brother. After what happened to my last boyfriend, I refused to have anyone mean something to me. It was too risky.
It was almost time I gave my body blood, the feeling of going a week without becoming too much. Damon kept a whole container full of blood bags, so I snuck downstairs to grab one. Stefan was working out in the living room, Damon standing over him.
"What's going on?" I asked as I stopped at the end of the stairs. Stefan and Damon shared a look, both seeming angry.
"Nothing," Stefan said. "Damon's just upset is all, nothing out of the ordinary."
I knew they were lying though I would never tell them that. "Okay," I shrugged it off. "Is it okay if I have one of your blood bags?"
"Shoot, little birdie," Damon said. However, instead of letting me go get a blood bag, he offered me his glass. I licked my lips, hurridly taking it from me as I drowned it, earning a raised eyebrow from him. "Wow, when was the last time you fed?"
"Two days ago," I lied, hoping they wouldn't see through me. If they did notice my lie, they said nothing.
"Hey, there's a party tonight for the founding fathers," Stefan began to explain. "Are you going to go?"
I shrugged in response. "Do I need a dress or something? I didn't bring one."
"Probably," Stefan nodded. "I'm sure Elena would let you borrow one."
"Are you sure?" I asked hesitantly. "I can just go buy one. I feel bad stealing all her clothes."
"Don't worry about it, Annabelle."
"Can you please not call me that?" I interrupted and Stefan looked confused. "I only get called that when I'm in trouble. I go by Belle."
"Right, sorry."
"It's okay, you didn't know," I offered him a smile to show I wasn't upset. "Are you okay?"
"Me? Yeah, I'm fine," Stefan shrugged off my concerns. He'd been working out a lot, far more than usual. "Why?"
"You've been working out a lot," I pointed out, crossing my arms over my chest.
"So?" Stefan did five more push ups before standing up, reaching for his glass of alcohol.
"And drinking a lot," I added.
"It doesn't matter, I'm fine," Stefan said though it was clear he was lying. He was not fine as he was no longer Zen Stefan
"Alright," I put my hands up in defense. "You do you."

Stefan, Damon, and I walked up the stairs of the Lockwood Manor, me between the two boys. "Oh god," Stefan sighed as he glanced at the house, which was full of people. "I shouldn't be here."
