Annabelle
AFTER GETTING TYLER home safely with Caroline, I returned to the lake house. I first noticed three figures running towards me, one of whom I recognized as Jeremy.
"What's going on?" I asked as I climbed out of the car, locking it behind me.
"Get in the house!" Matt yelled at me as he passed by, quickly shoving the front door open.
"Jeremy, what's going on?" Elena questioned, seeming to be just as confused as me.
"I'd like to know the answer to that question, too," I chimed in, moving to stand beside the girl.
"They're coming," Jeremy said, his eyes flickering behind us before he walked inside. Confused, I turned around to see what he was talking about.
"Oh shit," I cursed, seeing the rather large group of people--no, vampires--coming at us. Gently, I gave Elena's shoulder a shove. "Get inside."
"What do we do now?" Matt asked, breathing heavily as ELena ushered him to sit down. He was bleeding on his neck, blood slowly trickling onto his clothes.
"Well, the sun will be up in about half an hour," I said, locking the front door. "We have to wait them out."

"Sun's up. They're long gone," Jeremy said, looking away from the window towards Elena and Matt.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Elena asked, sighing loudly as Damon walked into the room. She slammed down the blood towel, standing up as she glared at Damon. "All I asked you to do was to teach him how to fight."
"He's not the best student in the world," Damon said, pouring himself a glass of alcohol.
"Wait. Now this is my fault?" Jeremy asked angrily.
"Stop talking," Damon advised him, rolling his eyes before looking back at Elena. "Look, I know you're angry. But my way was the easiest, fastest, and safest way to complete his mark to get you the cure."
"I don't care about the cure, Damon," Elena snapped. "Not if it means putting the people that I love in danger." My mind trailed back to the fear my uncle had radiating across his face when he heard about Silas and the cure.
"If you want this cure, a lot of lives are going to be lost," I added, crossing my arms. "It's not worth it."
"Hey, there would have been no danger if he hadn't gone all bleeding heart," Damon told the girl, motioning towards Jeremy.
"He killed someone," Elena argued. "These were innocent people."
"But the mark grew, didn't it?"
"Screw the mark!" I snapped, watching Elena's speechless face. "I'm telling you, the cure isn't worth everything you will lose in the process."
