Annabelle
AFTER COMING HOME from walking around with my coffee, Nik had to retrieve a bottle of my blood to break the spell.
However, I stayed upstairs in my room where I had spent a lot of my time. Ever since my family came back, I felt separated from my friends. They made it clear they didn't trust me anymore and now I was just an outsider as they tried to kill me and my family.
"Yes, Dad, I promise I'm fine," I assured my father over the phone.
"Are you sure? My offer still stands, I can come and get you," Dad told me but I shook my head before realizing he couldn't see me.
"No, I'm okay. I want to finish school and help Nik and Bekah," I explained and he sighed heavily.
"If that's what you wish. Has Niklaus been keeping you fed?"
"Yes, Dad," I rolled my eyes at his protectiveness.
"Don't roll your eyes at me, Ann. I am merely looking out for your well-being," Dad said and my mouth fell open.
"How did you know?" It was an annoying habit my entire family had. They always knew when I rolled my eyes or did something they wouldn't like.
Dad chuckled on the other end. "Call it fatherly instincts. Are you still practicing control and using those techniques I gave you?"
"Yes, Dad," I said, slightly annoyed at this point. "Though there's not too many people I can drink from here."
"Well, I want you to at least try. I cannot have all our training messed up because you decided to stay in school in Mystic Falls," Dad explained sternly. From downstairs, I could hear the door slam shut followed by a voice.
"I know, Dad," I said, pushing myself off my bed. "I'm going to go. I'll call you later. Love you."
"I love you, always and forever." Once I was off-call with him, I left my phone on the dresser and made my way out of my room in my pajamas. Quickly, I descended down the staircase, eager to see what was going on.
Upon stepping off the staircase, I moved into the nearest room where I could see the back of my aunt's hair.
"Oh my God," I gasped as I walked further into the room, seeing a tied-up Damon. There were bear traps around his wrists and blood covered him.
"What do you want?" Nik asked while my gaze remained on Damon. Stefan, who was standing in front of Damon, threw a bag at our feet.
"I'm here to make a deal," Stefan said. I couldn't believe I hadn't noticed this sooner. I mean, I walked straight past this room to go up to my room.
"Stefan, what are you doing?" Damon asked weakly. I stepped forward to help him but NIk quickly put his arm out, stopping me.
"Eight stakes, made of white oak," Stefan said, his attention remaining on us. "The part of Wickery Bridge that you forgot to burn." I glared up at my aunt.
