Annabelle

"WHAT DO YOU mean you left?" I sighed, glancing up at the Salvatore boarding house. "You can't just...suddenly leave, Uncle Nik."

"Sorry, little one, but I have to make more hybrids," Nik informed me, earning a harsh laugh from me.

"Hybrids, of course," I rolled my eyes, motioning for my aunt to stop walking so I could finish up this short call. "All about the hybrids."

"You know it's not like that," Nik said. "Besides, you can come with me but I figured you want to stay with your precious friends."

"Yeah, I wanna stay with my friends because they actually care if I'm staked or not," I snapped, causing him to go silent on the other end. "Cat got your tongue?"

"You're too much like Kol." I could practically see him shaking his head with an annoyed frown settled on his face.

"Crazy runs in my blood," I said with a shrug before adding, "Since you are leaving me, not the other way around, I'm not going to do our stupid weekly check-up calls."

"We most certainly will be doing that," Nik objected. "Might I remind you that your little friend, Tyler, he's sired to me. He can do anything I tell him to, including follow you everywhere you go to make sure you stay out of trouble. If you'd like a shadow, by all means, ignore my weekly calls."

"You're so annoying," I said with a scowl before hanging up on him. That would piss him off, I was sure of it.

"Are you sure they are going to let us stay?" Bekah asked, growing impatient. She was holding multiple bags of clothes in her hand, gesturing for me to knock on the door.

"I'm sure," I nodded, rapping my knuckles against the abnormally large door. As soon as Damon entered the door, Bekah barged in. I smiled apologetically at the older brother. "Sorry, she's rather impatient."

"I can tell," Damon said, rolling his eyes. "Who the hell is she?"

"My aunt," I answered before she could go on with her angry rant.

"He left me here. My brother actually left me here." Bekah said it as if it was the most crazy thing in the world, though it was such a Nik thing to do.

"Oh, I'm sorry, your tone implies that I'm actually supposed to care," Stefan said, looking up from his position on the couch.

"Who crawled up your butt?" I asked, making a disgusted face as I looked at Stefan. My eyes caught sight of the three women playing twister on the floor beside Stefan and it disgusted me.

"My humanities off. Best feeling ever, actually," Stefan shrugged as if it was the most normal thing ever.

"Wait, she's-" Damon pointed at my aunt. "You're Klaus' sister?"

"Rebekah. Pleasure, I'm sure," Bekah said cockily, grinning. Then she turned back to Stefan. "Which one's my room?"

"I can see where you get the sass," Damon muttered as he passed me.
