JEREMY HAD CLAIMED he wanted to meet up with April and Matt, so I waited until he finished talking to them.

I sat in the driver's seat of Jeremy's car, who was currently working on helping me drive, watching him put some bracelet on April's wrist. Eventually, he returned to the car and got in the passenger seat.

"What did you just give her?" I questioned, waiting until he was buckled before slowly backing out of the parking spot.

"Nothing," Jeremy shrugged. "Turn the wheel towards you."

"I got it," I assured the boy as I backed out of the spot and turned onto the road. "I've learned a lot between you and Stefan."

"Good. You used to drive like a maniac," Jeremy laughed.

"Mhm," I hummed, my eyes locked on the road. "But don't change the subject. I saw you give April something."

"She dropped her bracelet. That's all," Jeremy said.

"Lying now, huh?" I questioned, though I really wasn't all that mad.

"Jealous, huh?" Jeremy shot back. I took a deep breath as his fingertips brushed against my thigh, giving it a light squeeze.

"Jeremy," I whispered, momentarily closing my eyes before snapping them back open as he dragged his hand up further. "If you keep doing that, I'm going to crash."

"Then pull over," Jeremy said with a grin. My eyes flickered to his, debating if I should pull over now. It didn't seem like he was going to stop any time soon. Finally, I gave in and found an empty parking lot. I shoved the car into park before Jeremy pulled me onto his lap.

"I'm here," I announced as I barged into the Gilbert house. Elena and Damon were standing in the living room and Elena was pacing the room. I rushed around the couch, dropping to my knees beside Jeremy. "How long has he been out?"

"A few hours," Elena admitted, looking over at Damon. "I don't know what to do."

"You should have called Stefan," Damon advice.

"I don't wanna talk to him," Elena shook her head. "He's been lying to me and hiding things from me. He compelled Jeremy to forget God knows what."

"In all fairness, I mean, I think you killing him kind of trumps that," Damon commented and I glared up at him. "I mean, you should have called Stefan."

"Yes, we get it. She should have called Stefan but she didn't so get over it," I rolled my eyes at Damon.

"I don't trust him right now, Damon," Elena said as I ran my fingers through Jeremy's hair, my fingers interlocked with his. Suddenly, the door opened, causing all of to look up.
