Annabelle

AFTER TYLER GOT checked out, I left him alone with his mom and the paramedics before making my way outside. Jeremy was waiting for me, his suit sleeves rolled up to his elbows.

"Hey," I greeted, gently touching his arm. Jeremy didn't even smile at me, keeping a glare on his face. "Everything alright? If you're worried about Elena, she's going to be okay."

"Let's go back to my house," Jeremy said instead, his hand moving to lightly touch my lower back. Confused, I agreed and allowed him to lead me to his car.

We drove home in silence, one of his hands resting on my thigh as he drove. I knew for a fact something was up when we got back to his house. He allowed me to walk in first before slamming the front door behind him. I jumped, turning to look at him.

"Okay, what's wrong?" I asked, crossing my arms as I looked at him.

"Nothing's wrong," Jeremy said tensely.

"No, something definitely wrong," I commented, looking him up and down. I gently rested my hand on his arm. "Talk to me, Jere. Why are you upset."

"Why I'm upset?" Jeremy let out a harsh laugh. "You want to know why I'm upset? Maybe because my girlfriend wants to kill herself."

"I don't. I-I had a moment but I'm fine," I protested, crossing my arms.

"Really? Is that why you were ready to take Tyler's place? To take that wooden stake, knowing damn well it could have killed you," Jeremy snapped, a vein bulging in his forehead.

"It wouldn't have killed me, I'm an Orginal," I said as I swallowed hard, peering up at his angry face. "Besides, I was going to take Tyler's place so he didn't get hurt."

"You know what, you always get upset because you think something's going on with me and Bonnie. But what about you and Tyler?"

I furrowed my eyebrows, staring at him in confusion. "No, Tyler's like a brother to me. I'd never date him." Jeremy's jaw tightened as I stepped closer to him. "I don't want him, Jeremy. I want you. It will always be you."

Much to my surprise, Jeremy's hands found my cheeks as he slammed his lips against mine. I stumbled back in surprise but quickly regained my footing, my hands wrapping around his wrist.

He pulled away, resting his forehead against mine. My eyes fluttered open, meeting his. "Maybe we should take this upstairs," I said quietly, watching surprise fill his eyes.

"Are you sure?" I grinned up at him.

"I've never been more sure of something," I said, grasping his arm as I tugged him toward his room. Once we were upstairs, he kicked the door shut before attaching our lips once more.

His mouth moved from mine to down the side of my neck as I worked on the buttons of his suit. Once I managed to get them all undone, I pushed the white dress shirt off, allowing it to fall to the ground.
