Taj POV
I sat on the porch by myself.
"What you doing out here grandson" Pops said walking out.
"Just thinking" I said.
He went and sat down.
"What's on your mind" he asked.
I looked around.
"I just got my permit yesterday and I'm just trying to figure how I can get a car" I said.
He nodded.
"You can always come down to the gym. We need another equipment cleaner" he said.
I looked at him.
"Really" I asked.
He nodded.
"Yea I can start you off at 10.25" he said.
"When can I start" I asked.
"Come by there tomorrow when you get from school and I'll get you in the system and trained" he said.
I smiled.
"Thanks pops" I said.
He nodded.
I went inside and decided to go play the game.
Tierra had cheer practice so she wasn't home for me to chill out with her.
I sat playing the game in the room.
"Fuck G" Rico said walking in.
"Nigga what's wrong with you" I asked pausing the came.
He sat on his bed.
"G Trinity pregnant" he said.
"Woah what" I asked.
"Yes we just found out she's 3 months" he said.
"Damn G" I said.
"Her people's trippin and shit but I told her we gone be straight. Imma take some of my savings and go get me a car and shit" he said.
I nodded.
"I'm finna be working at the gym to get one for myself" I said.
"Man this shit crazy" he said.
"G you gone be a good a father. Both of y'all gone be good parents" I said.
"Thanks G" he said.
I nodded.
He sighed.
"Let me go tell Granny" he said.
We dapped up and he left.
I went back to the game.
About 30 minutes later Tierra called.
"Hey baby" she said.
"Hey how was practice" I asked propping up the phone.
"Good coach worked us. Did you hear Trinity pregnant" she said.
"Rico literally just told me" I said.
"Crazy right" she said.
"Yes but they gone be straight they gone be good parents" I said.
"Yea but still I wouldn't know what to do" she said.
"We ain't even thinking like that just know y'all would be straight though" I said.
She smiled.
"How many kids do you want" she asked.
"Like 6 or 7" I said.
"I kind of want a big family too" she said.
I nodded.
"We gone get started soon as we get a crib and shit" I said.
She just smiled.
"You on the game" she asked.
"Yea playing call of duty" I said.
"You love that game" she said.
"Not more than you though" I said and she smiled and so did I.
"Well I'm gonna call you after my shower I just wanted you to know I'm home" she said.
"Okay call me back though" I said.
"I will" she said.
"Okay" I said and she hung up.
February 14th
"Thank you" I said to the cab driver as Tierra and I got out the car.
I brought her downtown for us to eat at a Mexican restaurant for Valentine's Day.
We walked inside and were seated once they found our reservation.
We sat down and put in our drink order.
"So what'd you do earlier today" I asked her.
"I got my nails done" she said showing me her hands.
"You got the light brown color I picked" I smiled.
She nodded.
"It's cute" she said.
I kissed her hand and let her hand go.
I handed her a small gift bag and she smiled.
She opened it and it was two new charms for the bracelet she wore everywhere and a necklace with her named engraved.
"Thank you baby" she smiled.
"You're welcome" I said.
Once our food came we got to eat. I had work today so we only had time for lunch.
After we ate we caught a cab and dropped her off home and then me. I got dressed and ready for work.
I was able to catch Rico on his way out so he gave me a ride in his Honda. We both have been working our asses off. He got a job at one of our uncles dealership washing cars.
We both still move weight on the side but to keep everyone off our back about that we got legitimate jobs to cover that up.
9pm
I got off work and road the bus home. Once I got home I showered and ate the plate left for me and then got in bed.
I called Tierra.
"Hello" she said.
"Did I wake you" I asked.
"No it's okay baby I think I got food poisoning" she said.
"Why what's wrong" I asked.
"I literally threw up twice today and I can't keep nothing down. My mom got me seeing my doctor tomorrow to put me on birth control anyways so hopefully she can give me something to help" she said.
"Damn baby I'm sorry" I said.
"It's okay how was work" she asked.
"It was smooth it was a little busy today" I said.
She nodded.
Every night we went to bed on the phone together not hanging up until the first person woke up.
